With DMC3: SE out I would tell you to get DMC3. It's easier then DMC3 was, but if you like a challenge all the old difficulties are still there. You can play as the main bad guy who is completely different than Dante. It has different styles that affect gameplay, each completely different than the last, for those of you who like a challenge, it has unlockables that are VERY worth the difficulties it takes to beat them. If you don't, then there is a unlock everything code. It has plenty of different weapons, ranging from good ol' fashion swords, to greaves, to an electric gutar and more. It has very good action cimantics, which are some of the best I've seen in Video Games. The story is above average for a Action Game. It's not a button masher, if you like button mashers or wanna try button mashing, you're gonna die in this game, unless of course if you're playing easy mode. And of course, there's plenty more, but you can find that out when you play the game.

can't say since I've never played GOW but I'll go for DMC3 since I've played that and I really liked it

Devil May Cry 3. Being a fan of the other Devil May Cry games and liking the weapon switch combos. I pick this game hands down.

God of war. Only because I have played it though. I've never actually tried devil may cry. I may get around to it one of these days.
