It depends on the game. I have the music on for the Dragon Warrior/Quest series, off for the Pokemon series, and some of the games have annoying music in certain sections so the sound is off during those parts.Even when it's on, the volume is set to low.
Do you play with the sound on or off while playing GBA games?

I play my game with the sound turned off because it get's annoying sometimes

I can't really see playing games with the sound off unless you are not allowed to (ie in school or library). The sound effects and music add so much to the gameplay experience!

It's a better experience when the music is on. Although, the music on Pokemon games is pretty crap.

On but very very quiet so that I can only just here it. Some games seem so stupid without the sound. Others like pokemon are just repeats so then its off

I like the sound on, cause some games tell you things with the sound, like secrets and stuff. However, sometimes the sound gets annoying, so off it goes!
