Id have to say final fantasy VII it is just overall a good game

suikoden II still the best RPG for me....the graphic and the battle system suits me...and it has many chars and various endings...

How is this even a Question?Final Fantasy VII, hands down, all the way. The gaming industry struck gold with this game, pure perfection. Often immitated, NEVER duplicated, and I think it was the first game I believe to implement Full CGI cut scenes on a console or RPG or something, and they are nice (for the ERA), gotta love Tifa, *wink wink*.FInal Fantasy VIII was good too, but its story dragged on and it was missing some of the things that made FFVII great (like Sephiroth, lol).Its to hard to just name one or two so I'll give you a ranked list of my favorites.My top 10 are:1. FFVII (Truly EPIC)2. Xenogears (Amazing and Unique) 3. Legena of Legaia (Unforgettable)4. Star Ocean 2 (200 levels? Oh yeah)5. Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (Crissegrim, need I say more?)6.Final Fantasy Tactics (Best Tactical Game Ever)7. Suikoden (I'm still waiting for another RPG like this, Awesome)8. Grandia (Neat combat style, draws you in and keeps you in)9. Resident Evil 2 (Compeling, and Capturing, you get lost in it)10. FFVIII (Memorable, in both good and bad ways, lol.)

Wow, check all the ff7 fanboys! LOL not that there's anything wrong with 7, quality gaming there. But the one I loved most was FF9. Parasite Eve was fun, but I had to cheat to finish it! Some of the others folks have mentiond (CT, etc) were ports from other systems. I didn't count those.

As I see it, the best RPG on PSX is Final Fantasy VII. It doesn't has the best grafik, but the play itself is simply awesome.

well... the best rpg is surely Xenogears..... but also BoF III, is something awesome... The Final Fantasy games are good rpgs too, but they suck in front of these 2 games IMHO
