I prefer the N64, as its the one I grew up with. THat, and the fact that I can't find a p1 emulator or ROMs...

Ok, N64 has a better CPU I'll give you that. However, Playstation had a better graphics processor. RISC relates to the CPU, not the GPU. Playstation's GPU was better than the N64's. Since, the GPU is the main factor for Graphics, Playstation had better graphics.thier is a big differences at the time. Mmm... it will have to be PS1 for me. Nintendo might have the two legendary legend of zelda... but that's almost the RPG they could have while PS1 is for the RPG nut (Also, square and nintendo at that time were bitter with each other after the mario rpg). Fighting games? try tekken or street fighter... though saturn owns all of the fighting games, play station has a lot of the good ones that nintendo can come up with other impact fighting games instead of killer instincts.

I would have to say PlayStation. I liked some N64 games but I like sports games and playstation had a better variety with cheap 989 sports games. I know the graphips on the 64 are better but it is just that way. If you let me with a N64, I wouldn't die, but I would be probably happier with the PS.

I thought that they were both really excellent consoles. But the N64 lacked in the games department. N64 had really good games but not as many as PSX.

for mer personally id have to choose the n64 sure the psx had more games but most of them were just bs sports games and to those who like sports games sure thats fine but for me im a big zelda fan aside from the first 2 games ive played em all the fact that the n64 zelda games r the best games ive ever played is the reason the 4 gets my vote

i got an n64 - given the chance again i would get play station though. just had more games... even though zelda/golden eye are two of the greatest games ever.

Playstation had hotter games + graphics. But i was in love with rareware games for the n64 
Goldeneye is still voted the best game of all time 
especially for fps junkys.

There are only few good games on N64 but It's gameplay was usually better. But my friend had an PS so I played it a lot too... I have only played emulated N64...

A while back i may have said 64, but then i realized after you get passed the good games that Nintendo or Rare made. there isn't much there. So playstation, do to the fact i love RPGs and the ps1 was full of em'.

How in the world could anyone ever enjoy a Playstation is beyond me. They're lame, slow-loading systems that only care about how the game looks. And besides....I NEVER LIKED FINAL FANTASY SIX OR SEVEN. TaDAAAAAAA. Now let's see those Square-Enix fanboys scream as if they even care which they probably don't because they're just hear point-mooching while I'm hehe spreading real opinions.

i chose n64 all my freinds had ps1 and they said n64 suked but i remember the day i bought super smash bros and eveyone wanted to play it at mine
