yeah I would have to say n64 even though ive never owned one. I;ve always had a ps and I never liked it as much. I did love the rpgs (mainly final fantasy) but all of the party games and pokemon stadium on the n64 kinda made me want it more... then again I kinda am partial to nintendo regardless

N64 wiped the floor with the PS imo as the PS just had empty games like spyro when the N64 had real games with an extra edge to it like perfect dark, goldeneye, zelda oot/mm etc.

Playstation all the way. The N64 had a few good games but the rest were lousy. Playstation had lots of good games even in the early days. Ummm,I thought Grand Tursimo was really boring.PSONE for me,it had really great games such as Xenogears.I agree completely, though Squaresoft made Super Mario RPG and that game was amazing. I don't really like the PS1 games, though it had some good ones, like Metal Gear Solid and Gran Turismo. Just about the only thing I hate about the N64 is the controller.I'd rather have an N64, I'm uninterested in Squaresoft and that seems to be the biggest argument in favour of the PS. Sure the console had some good games, I just prefer Nintendo's "less games but more quality" approach.

Nintendo64. Playstation may have had more, "better" games, but games like Perfect Dark stood out from the rest for N64...

I can't decide i like of the RPGs for Playstation as Final Fantasy series,Wild Arms,Digimon World 3 Breath of Fire ,but also like Pokémon and Mario series for Nintendo 64.But in the general N64 is better than Playstation 1.

Playstation rpgs are the best!

It's hard to choose, really. Both of the systems had really good games on them. The N64 just edges over - namely thanks to Perfect Dark, Goldeneye, WWF No Mercy and Virtual Pro Wrestling 2. Then again, the PS did have the Smackdown! games on them, and I've always liked those...

Statistics show that the N64 generated more hype with its 64 bit graphics proessor however in total amount of sales generated the playstation has exceeded nintendo but this may be due to its continued sales of consoles and software after nintendo stopped selling consoles and software because of the gamecube releasei beleive the N64 is the better built because the memory is expandable and the game pak design approach lowers loading times experienced by CD and DVD also it is more robust and less fragile than discs.chk www.freezefm.co.uk

Nintendo, i have to say~ they make some quality games like Zelda Ocarina of Time , But the PS has it's benefits-Cheap games and easily produced

The sole fact is that the playstation had many more quality games over the n64, so it attracted more people and beat the n64. Nintendo fan people will never acknowledge this fact. The reason the playstation is better than the nintendo 64 is because the playstation beat out the nintendo 64 in every area: games, the controller, genre support, options, etc etc. This is not just between the n64 vs playstation, but continued with the game cube vs ps2 (which the ps2 easily carried away the title). The third war is looking to be about the same thing and because of the exact same reasons.n64. It has way more than rpgs than the n64, fighters were almost non-existent. Yes the n64 has classics, but the average n64 never bother to try out any of the ps1 classics, which happen to be many more than the n64 ever made. Out of the list, more than 34 that are complete classics compared to the few n64 ones. People should actually sit down and start to look at the talley between the two systems: the n64 does win at anything except against the early consoles.
