it actually depends on what type of game your playing... if you wanted rpgs, then ps would be your way to go... But if your in for a more multi player game, the n64 would be right... Different games required different things...

I prefer the fact that you can play any game from the PS now on the PS2, but all of the classic games and series on the N64 give it my vote.

i'd like to say that psx and n64 are very competitive:in graphics, the psx got little better graphics, but not THAT much to stablish a differencein sound, psx won, as they had more capacity in cd'sin loading speeds, N64 got the lead NO PROBLEM at allBUT!!!!!!! the real thing that stablishes the winner is:GAMING QUALITY:both consoles got pretty good games, but what makes the difference is the experience the company has, and Nintendo has got that experience:after being in the market for 10 years, Nintendo obviously know what the customer wants, and they also had stablished franchises. So it is expected that Super Mario 64, TLOZ: Ocarina of Time, Yoshi's Story, and many others, would be a GREAT boost to the console. But they also launched great original games, like GoldenEye 007, Perfect Dark, Extrene-G 1 and 2, and MANY others.That's why the Nintendo 64 is better than the PSXPERIOD.EDIT: i agree with wastedluck, N64 boost was multiplayer, PSX boost was RPG (unfortunately for PSX, in that time RPG wasn't that popular x_x)

The Nintendo 64 never had movies, or FMV sequences due to the fact that it was a block.

i liked the Nintendo 64 even though most of the games we had on it felt like the same game over and over again get certain number of items opens different place get more items so on.. but the Playstation seemed to have a much better variety of games they also had RPG's which i dont remember the 64 having any at all except for one with a ninja guy or something like that i cant remember only played it once

N 64 came first than PS, the time that separates them both is big, and even tho N64 had great graphics.Also, i know lots of people who actually still plays N64, cuz it has fun games as Mario Party, but i dont know any1 that still plays PSSO N64 is better, in my opinion

depends on the type of games that you like since PS has very good games as nintendo but the games of nintendo are in the habit of being very infantile

I find it hard to choose between the two myself. Let's see... my favorite game on the PlayStation is Final Fantasy VII, and my favorite on the Nintendo 64 is Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I think PlayStation beats Nintendo 64 slightly for me.

Playstation because the N64 controller, despite having the first analog stick, was really akward and hard to use... the ps controller is so good it's still being used on the ps3

yep!! N64z old n havnt got ne gd graphicz..whereas ps has better graphicz-(ps2 dat is!)Playstation had some good games but did it have anything to beat the likes of Perfect Dark?
