Um... When they did do something different once, it bombed. Horribly. Also, look at the approach they took in Wind Waker. It had a different style than the rest of the games, wasn't as dark, etc. If you want a different sort of gameplay, I suggest you play Zelda II: Link's Adventure to appreciate Zelda more. So it's not getting radically different? What do you suggest for an adventure game? Do you want Zelda to be a platformer? A FPS? A puzzle game? >.>yay, anuther zelda game for me to beat outright, lol, is this one realy any thing difrent thouth, i mean realy is there even a difrnt story line or any thing... look at all the outher zelda games (there awsome) but there all the same, windwalker was a good idea, but they need to do somn more adventureous wif it, like paper mario, thats a good game its still a clasic caz its mario and all the mario folowers all get it and try the new style of game play if it flops relece a new one wif the old game play and ull get the same folowing back again, but realy they gota do somn wif the zelda games there good but after at least 5 (thats all that i can think of now) thave changed what, this name and that item that dosnt send you back in time, oh no it changes the season OGM thats such a big step... lol zleda on hand helds has gota do somn, and the console vers arnt too far a way from the handhelds.... they gota do somn!!!!

What in the world? You were hoping for an eight year old game to get a fourth port (with a fifth coming to the Revolution) on a system without analog? The fact of the matter is like every single main Zelda, this will likely be great. Just because it isn't full 3D does NOT mean it will be bad, or hit or miss.Despite the fact that Zelda games tend not to disappoint me, I still approach them all very cautiously because I am afraid that they can, and eventually will, let me down. This is another such case. I was really hoping that the first Zelda for the DS might be a port of Ocarina of Time (which would be an incredibly smart move on Nintendo's part). Not only is this not tied in with the Ocarina series, but it looks to be like some newer Mega Man games in that it is trying to hold over old, old gameplay with new graphics and techniques. This is going to either be hit-or-miss. I wish Nintendo would stop announcing Zelda titles and being so damned ambiguous about them. Perhaps if they would actually tell me what was in the game to get excited over I wouldn't be so critical.
