My favorite Squaresoft hero of all time would have to be Cyan Garamonde (FFVI). He was a kickass swordsman, but also had a tragic story.

My all time fav is Aya Brea from Parasite EveThe second Parasite Eve wasn't anywhere near as good as the first, but had good replay value.FFVII: would have to be Tifa and YuffieFFVIII: I loved the whole cast but if i had to choose Zell, Quistis and SelphieFFIX: I thought Vivi was cute and Zidane was a neat hero although he reminded me of CloudFFX: Lulu was the coolest but i thought the doll thing was funny for a strong character like herFFX2: Paine was really the best part of that game

i know that she's not exactly a hero but I like naomi from kingdom hearts.I think riku is cooler than sora, too

Zack in Final Fantasy VII. Sure, you don't get him as a playable character (my biggest grief to this very day!), but he is simply amazing. What with that hairstyle, his bright personality, and that big donkey sword he's lugging. Which Cloud takes later on. So you see, the reason why Cloud is so uber-cool in FF7 is mostly thanks to Zack! Bow to his might! Or not. I think Cloud had the potential to become as strong as, if not stronger, than Zack. After all, in order to gain something, whether it's speed, muscles, or smarts, you've got to have the potential to it from the beginning! At least, that's what I think.
