If I fight with a game to the point I want to strangle the coders, then I'll go to a walkthrough. Also depends on the game. With something like Zelda or FF, you almost need a walkthrough just to start the game. Too easy to miss something and regret it later. *remembers a bad experience with FF8 on the PS*

I'll be honest. i use walkthroughs a lot regardless of whether i need it or not. it the try the game again without it to figure out what the real tough parts were.

Walkthroughs i use whenever there's a problem i can't solve. Like for instance, the character doesn't provide my enough clues for my to get it or to understand. I'd be like "OK...i don't get it." and then I'd talk to the person or thing again to try to understand or find the items but i don't seem to get it. This usually happens on RPG's. I don't remember using a walkthrough on Golden Sun though. It was practically straight forward :D

The time that walkthroughs are nice is prolly when i forget what the quest was or you get 1 chance to see a code/password and i dont have any paper.....

I beat games twice. The first time by myself without a walkthrough, and the second time with a walkthrough so that I can get EVERYTHING possible.

Depends which game i'm playing. For a game that i want to sit through and navigate to it's entirety... i wont use a walkthrough at all. However, if i'm playing a game just to get through it, then i'll use the walkthrough.

I only use a walkthrough if the game has a choices in it like "who do you choose between the two" because I find it as dilemma

I try not to use Walkthroughs, but if I'm stuck, and have been so for hours, and can see no way out of the current situation, I'll take a peek at one, find my way out of the situation, and then close the Walkthrough. Games just aren't fun when the whole thing is spelled out for you on a silver screen (Platter).
