I think they should remake it because alot of people loved the game, but it was the graphics that were that good, the storyline, characters were all great, but the cubed graphics set it off. I think yes.

final fantasy VII is the ultimate final fantasy game ever to strike the console and i think it is still. well that's wat i think. so i they should and it'll be good if they have the graphics of FFVII: Advent Children because tha'll be awesome.

...The whole reason for this topic, is probably because the author watched the tech demo, where they showed the proccessing capabilities, and graphic advancement from Square via, a remade FFVII intro, where they used AC graphics....final fantasy VII is the ultimate final fantasy game ever to strike the console and i think it is still. well that's wat i think. so i they should and it'll be good if they have the graphics of FFVII: Advent Children because tha'll be awesome.

yes ive played ff6-ff10-2 like a fair few ppl and ff7 is a good game on par with any other ff game thats y they made a movie and y even though the the graphics r bad some ppl still play it 2day.I just wouldnt want anything changed aside from mayb adding the advent children story into it.

FF7 doesnt need a remake. Its not even that old yet, and it wasnt the best FF either. IF anything 4 or 6 deserve a remake.

No, let's quit focusing on past Final Fantasies that were so good (and I agree, FFVII is amazing) and focus on making better new Final Fantasies with original storylines, characters, etc. I'm sick of only seeing FFVII remake, sequels, etc. Let's get to some good fresh Final Fantasies and let us just adore our good PS game.

FFVII does not deserve a remake. Advent Children was bad enough. The sad part is, if Squenix did remake it, it would sell like crazy, and probably be really crappy. People would start complaining about small changes made to the game and how the original is better, etc etc.Why do people idolize this game, why?The story is a cliche with some twists thrown in, several stupid characters, and the battle system wasn't even a new thing. The only thing that was even revolutionary was the materia system. Everything else was old material in a new 3D world.

I think that it should be remade for the PS2. Simply so it will have better graphics, sounds, etc. Also, I'd like to see the put voiceovers of the characters in there, too. That would be awesome.

Id say...NO, plz dont remake the bloody thing, i mean, it was fantastic and revolutionary in its time...But i played the original so much i cant even look at it anymore. As for gameplay the Materia-system was great, but then id much rather see them making another FF with a sortoff-simular-system than remaking FFVII. FFVII AC was enough high-res eye-candy for me, so im content, and if those 'raging fans' arent - well boohooOn the other hand it would be a good opportunity for those who never played FFVII, since its quite a pain to fix urself a original copy around now...

Well if ppl dare to try ebay (which they have to) they could get a lot of copies of that game easily especialy US based since they still produce the greatest hit version of that game and other PSX titles and it's quite cheap abt $20 for 3 DiscOn the other hand it would be a good opportunity for those who never played FFVII, since its quite a pain to fix urself a original copy around now...
.Well ppl who said enuff of FF7 and let's move on to other FF, Rejoice !!, since square now focusing in other games than FF7, in E3 2006 they showed a trailer of the upcoming FFXIII and even a direct sequel of that game directly and as always the prequel goes to cellphone game (man why can't they just stick to other handhelds ?). So there u go, they focusing on 3 games for FFXIII, if ppl still think they would remake FF7 at this point than they better learn to wait and dare to accept that there's a possibility that there wouldn't be a remake since they are busy with other projects fro DS and Wii too. (quoted from a helpless FF7 fans a.k.a me)On a side notes : DS got a remake (true remake not the same 2D recycled graphic) of FFIII, u might consider that they would remake FF7 to DS

I think they should remake it... but I wouldn't want them to change the dialog even a little bit. Keep the storyline, Keep the characters, Keep the text..Maybe (and I stress MAYBE) add voice acting (preferably the voice actors from the Advent Children movie), and just remake the graphics. I read through the first page of this thread... there seem to be a lot of people who don't like FFVII... But if they don't like it... why do they even care if it's remade? As a big fan of that game (and the series), I would like to see it remade.
