I have about 8 controllers and only two of them work. The original one that came with the PS2 and a blue one i bought to go with it.

I have still have my blue transparent ps2 dual shock controller from...4 years ago. Best condition possible for a controller thrown at the ground several million times.

I'm still on my first set of dual-shocks. Experiences on earlier systems taught me never to buy anything from Madcats.

I've only gone throught he one that came with the ps2 though I'm in serious need of a replacement

I myself with my playstation 2 have gone through three controllers. I get a good amount of use out of them though. Either way that still doesn't top my super nintendo days lol. I use to break joysticks on a regular basis. I am sure that I have purchased at least 20 super nintendo joysticks. But soon as the playstation system's came out, I had to learn to stop breaking these things as they were expensive. So no more throwing the joystick acorss the room 
lol.

So far in my PS2 life, I've had like 5 controllers. I lost 2 of them before and I just realized I had 3 lol.

Only one,and it's Original. I think It's because unused for a long time (when I buy my ps2, I got 2 controllers. but i always play alone)

8 owned 7 broken 2 bought. Considering the wierd rattling and semi brocken butons I may be changing that to 9/8/3 very soon. Unless I can convince the girlfriend to have a go at smehting and get her to `break` the controller. It is nearly christmas and I think I am evil enough.

Between my three siblings and I, there have been 2 broken controllers, and we have 4 working ones at the moment. Its actually not bad considering how often they get stepped on. They don't really get thrown around during game play though, which is a good thing I guess. The third party ones seem to be more durable than the Sony ones though, but of the two broken ones, one is Sony, and one is third party.
