I've gone through just the controller that came in the box. Though sometimes the controller doesn't respond and I'm thinking of getting another one soon.

well i went through 2 i never throw my controllers but one day i woke up and decided to play my ps2. picked up the controll and i saw the freakin wired of the cord. iwas like 
and yet i still wonder to this very day...WTF HAPPEND TO MY CONTROLL!!!

I still have the first 2 I got. But my first ones R2 button gets jammed occasionaly.

My 2 sony controlers still work perfectly and they are about 3 year old. Also because I keep care of them....

i would say about 15 or more we bought 4 for multitap games like Smackdown and it seems like after a few times some one would break them at least i dident always have to pay for the new controllers though

I originally started with 2 sony Ps2 controllers, and 2 PSX Dualshock controllers, and so far, one dualshock PSX has blown out, and the other one has a loose analog stick. Sony Dualshock 2 are perfect.

i think 2 or 3, which are all normal PS1 or PS2 controllers, except for a red MadCatz one with a broken analog stick and X button. the current PS2 controller i have has an irritating left stick. sometimes when i push the stick up or down, it stays stuck and it makes some games difficult to play. i think the controller is partially broken because it has been dropped many times.

I got 5. The first 2 I got will Immediatley disconnect even from the slightest rumble.The rest are still fine.

I have broken two, NOT because I throw them that is bad. the first one broke because I had set it down it get a drink came back moved the chair up and sat down well the contoller was under the chair and the other one died of old age cause it was the only one I used to much.

with the console I recieved just one and it's still there...Worst... I can't get enough money to get another one to play the 2 players games.

I would have to say 8 becuase of my lousy brothers getting pissed off when i kicked their butts on soul caliber 2. Then my cousins just like to throw them cause they think their toys and just love to play with them no where near a ps2. But i have my wireless controller which is the first Ps2 controller i ever really liked ive had it for 2 years now and currently have no problems with it at the moment.

I got 3 total...one broke...like the buttons just stopped working...but i feel like my second one is breaking down because when i shake my controller....it sounds like something is loose and the R2 jams quite often....

Yea the funny this is, i've never thrown any of my controllers around, they've just died out on me, wheather it be the buttons or something like that, i'm not a complete idiot to break a $30 controller on purpose.

Still on my first. However my brother's nearly snapped the wire on his right through, and has to use mine. I wonder how long it will last now...
