Broke one when I fell asleep with the ps2 on and when I woke up I found the whole system had fell from the table to the floor...

I've yet to break one, but a friend of mine managed to crack his in-half. I was quite impressed. I was also kind of scared for my safety afterwards.

2 Controller so far but I'm not sure I'm the one who's supposed to be held responsible for it 
.1 is mine, but heck I dun really use button pressing much and not really into button-masher mode type of player, but my friends who plays a lot of fighting game mashed it alot, than one day when I want to play some 'safe' game (RPG), all the right side buttons of the controller died on me T_T.1 is my friend's, I rarely play in his house but in that house live 5 rabid gaming fans who constantly abuse the controllers in any unthinkable physical wrecking play style, and it breathed off it's last breath again on my hands as I saw the analog controller stop giving me feedback and become loose

i kinda broke one. one day i slammed it i think i was playing soul calibur 3. so i broke the vibration. so instead of making a buzz* vibration, it clicks*

Haven't broken any of my PS2 ones yet, but I have bought some pretty disfunctional ones, such as one that doesn't like moving characters foward at fast speeds and one that seems to think you're always pushing on the control stick...My friend's brother threw their controller across the room. It's now got wires sticking out of it and it has the dreaded 'moving-while-not-supposed-to-be-moving' syndrome.

PS consule, 1PS controler, 2PS2 consule, 6Ps2 controler, 16 (9 i threw agaist a wall lol, 4 just messed up, 1 i spilled soda on, and 2 were blown up from fire works) This is why you should buy inshurence on your consules and controlers like me lol

I've never broken a controller in general I think. One time though someone stole a PS2 controller from me. That sucked. It wasn't mine so I bought the owner a new one.

never broke any though but nearly broke 2 ^^" (still can play but got a sound of some kind of plastic piece when I shake the control)ps. I broke my psp O button ^^"

I have broken none so far. however. The wire casing is all split, theres no grip on the analogue sticks. And the triangle button is constantly held down lol. It sucks. They sshould make PS2 controlers better for the price and make sure they arent goint 2 break so easily!
