This is the truth. When i first beat sapphire. I went looking for Latias. The first one i found, was shiny, i caught it to. No cheats. I was happy with him. Although i have grown out of pokemon entirely and have sold that game awhile ago. I just wanted to share my story.

Iv'e seen 1 shiny in my eeeeeeeeeeeennnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnttttttttttttttttiiiiiiiiiiiiirrrrrrrrrreeeeeeee life. I was just walking around and then BANG there it was.....You should have seen my expression, I was like OMg omg omg omg omg omg omg dat is so awesome omg omg omg AWESOME MUST CATCH and then i started crying beacuse I ran out of Pokeballs.

Yeah I ve caught some, in crystal they appear mostly at night, specially venomoth.

I have seen and caught a Gold Caterpie right in front of the Ilex Forest Shrine (wow, coinsedental!)I have caught a shiny kakuna, and a blue eletrike. I have also seen a shiney stantler, but I wasn't paying attention and ran away from it

i have caught at least 10 of them, i have a shiny raticate, belossom, politoed, houndour, hoothoot, seviper, zangoose, koffing, magmar and jynx. i saw a shiny yanma but i forgot what colour they usually are so i killed it, i din't hear the shiny noise 'cos i had the sound off. on emerald i saw a shiny hariyama and ditto, if only i caught the ditto eh?

Through countless hours of breeding and rasing and more breeding and raising, I came out with a Charmander that was was not only female (which is rare by itself) but was also shiny...Charmander and Charmeleon are nothing special, but it was worth getting a black and red Charizard...looks so awesome...I also caught a shiny Ralts which I evolved into a Gardevoir and a shiny Trapinch, which I evolved to Flygon...it's so sweet...I know they're pretty much pointless, but some of them look really cool...

Yeah. I had a golden poochyenna, but accidentally restarted my game.In GSC, I had a golden pidgey and the super common red gyarados. (Available in every gsc game, in mahogany town.
