I think it was advance super mario 2 (super mario world).I have never owned a handheld system before and i remember buying the system only for this game(the perfect game!)after buying the system, I discovered games like zelda, wario ware and castlevania.

I think it was the Japanese version of Super Mario Advance, along with Street Fighter EX Revival and F-Zero X, I bought mine back when I was in Osaka in 2001. Surprisingly, a "second-handed" GBA's price was about... 8000 yen (US$70, more or less). Unluckily I lent it to a friend (without games) and someone stole it from him. Great games, by the way.

Castlevania: Circle of the Moon, on the original GBA.Probably the most bittersweet experience I've had on a handheld. Playing a fully-featured Castlevania on a handheld at last was awesome, but playing such a dark game with the GBA's craptacular lighting requirements was frustrating.

My first game I played was Fire Emblem 7 Blazing Sword. It was quite difficult for the first time.
