I say Golden Sun music, just because I like it and it has music for every moment...If not that, Dr. Demento. It's weird. Never fits the mood, and thus makes every game hilarious.

The music in the game fits the situation that your in... most of the time. If it won't do classical or techno, they normally have something that'll give you the boost you need.

I listen to anything usually. Sometimes I get a comedy album out or maybe some grunge. Only thing is whenever I hear a particular song it reminds me of a came now.Lounge Act by Nirvana always reminds me of secret of mana.

I am gonna have to agree with Avokatti. Golden Sun music is pretty sweet. When I play Gs, I plug my GBA into my speakers. All Legend of Zelda music is addictive too. But I think the very best music on a video game that you can find, and love to listen to is on Baten Kaitos! I would fall asleep on my couch listening to it's score after hours of playing.

I usually leave the sound off so i'm not sure. Porbably one that matches the mood of the story .

For racing I prefer fast punk of metal, or anything fast for that matter. For RPGs either the original soundtrack or some fantasy inspired power metal, such as Rhapsody.Although one of the funniest things ever was removing the disc when playing Destruction Derby for PS1. I've put in the weirdest CDs and it's hilarious because it seems like the actual soundtrack. "Poetry In Motion" was a good one for the dirt rings.

depends of the game... ussually OSTs... but to be honest, that only happens when a game's inherent music sucks, wich is not so often... I'd rather enjoy the game's inherent music
