rap=driving like need 4 speed or gtarock=fast pase action games (those 3rd person view games)techno=speedy action (like cs,hl or 1st person view games)music REALLY does sets the mood on what type of game u are playing.

Yeah, I agree. In-game music. Why would you wanna take away anything from fully immersing yourself in your game? Unless the music totally sucks... then metal.

I prefer rock music, IF and only IF the BGM is really boring. But most of the time, GBA BGMs are quite boring..

Depends on the game I guess. I plug in the headphones when playing GBA of course.The only games I like to substitute tunes for I guess would be Guild Wars and any number of FPS's.Usually, I'll play some goth/industrial/or dark trance for Guild Wars and for CounterStrikeSource my favorite tune to play is Rob Zombie, how to make a monster baby, go go go zombie, go go, whatever that song is called, or that Eminem w/ the Led Zeppelin sampled Sing With it, sing for the years. Seriously, if you play CS/CS:S try it.

The only game I really listen to music while playing is F10, and I listen to hard rock for that.

What kind of games do you play that you have to find another type of entertaining while you're playing? Come on! try some game such as Final Fantasy, The legend of Zelda, Castlevania, or almost every RPG offers a great score, so you don't need to play other external music.
