I can't believe it took them this long. It had better come out soon, as I'm not able to play the original in the meantime to keep myself satisfied.

I have been waiting for this game for years..ever sence starcraf brood wars came out and the rumors started about how Blizzard was making it...Well the wait is finaly over!!!

watched the trailers and gameplay videos of demos. kinda looking forward to play with new protoss units including this new flying nexus-like thing.

Starcraft 2 looks pretty good. Although some of the screen shots look like they coulda been from the original, I hope they add some new twists in the story and the gameplay. Somebody mentioned Starcraft ghost and I remember hearing about it, but I couldn't find it on the blizzard website. I wonder if it got cancelled? Anyway, as usual with blizzard, their games are always great, but I just hope it doesn't take the years it usually takes for their games to be released. Looking forward to some zergling rushes...

I'm really uncertain. This is exactly the sort of game I'd go mad about. Hype up and anxiously await...but after hearing about the release and looking at the media on their website...it all seems so...superficial and thin.I'll probably take a look at any demo that's released, but for now, I must admit I'm not that enthused about it. There seems to be so little strategic depth compared to ones that are out currently.

OMG i loved the first starcraft ( i think its better than warcraft) and i was so excited to hear the news that there was starcraft 2!!! but i was a tiny bit disappointed because it didnt look that great and the marines look like they are from warhammer and the new units arent that cool

Not really. I wished Blizzard released SC2 a few years back, when there wasnt much RTS games on the market. SC2 looks to have exact gameplay as SC, and nowdays that is very outdated. Unless Blizzard can come up with something really original, then this game would just be any other RTS game.

REALLY!Starcraft 1 was (and is) one of the most funniest games in pc history. I've seen screenshots and trailers, and it looks GREAT. Yeah, I know they will have to make something new out of the Starcraft universe...But Starcraft was and still is a brilliant game!

I'm pretty excited for the new Starcraft. I've been playing the original since 1999, and I love it. Still play it from time to time. It has a great storyline, and extremely fun gameplay. I can't wait for part 2 to progress further in the story

I saw the gameplay video and now im totally excited to play starcraft 2, there are many new strategic elements that i can't wait to use. Just one question: has starcraft:ghost been canceled or just delayed(again)?

Wow, StarCraft 2 really does sound quite cool, the more I hear about it the more it reminds me of SupCom, not quite as well designed, and the graphics aren't as realistic...I prefer realistic over the...style of units used in SC. Still, quite a cool game. Doubt I'll pick it up, as it's got nothing on SupCom. Ah well.

Well they made the announcement that it wont be this year so looks like maybe third quarter before they release it cant waitBTW SupremeCommander has absolutlety nothing on starcraft it cant even touch the original OMG where did u come from almost anyone will agree starcraft kicks *** and there probably isnt a game out today that put as much of a dent in strategy games then the starcraft games did!! if anyone doesnt agree id like a list of why nots and if u sucked at the game or dont like strat games then dont even try

Yea they are they announced it may 19, 2007. idk when the beta version comes out.bloody hope so, mad as game starcraft it is, mind they have star craft ghost comming out soon

Starcraft 2 is out!!!!! The protoss units look pretty sick. So do the graphics. My god, they're gonna have to come up with a huge load of new strats to compensate. The zerglings in the screen shots look like spawn broodlings. Are they?
