i just started playing this game, and ive already fallen in love... man its just like all the other BOFS so eventful and the fighting style is the same and the graphics have improved, the fight scenes own!

yeah i been playing this game sionce the olds days of super nintendo part 5 wasn't what i expected but the first four involved a cool like scenario a boy name Ryu who is destined to be a dragon adn a princess named Nina..

breath of fire 4 is my favorite one. I love being able to pull of combos with your characters. It's fun to do.

yeah.. mixing magic attacks and linking them the best move though has to be supercombo .... i can pull of 12 hits!! 
its called something like OmegaGodMachBreak lol a real long donkey name .. and it hits about 3500 damage in the end, tested on (trean) (varies with other monsters)

I kinda didn't like it. I never got into it as much as BoF2 or 1

It got kinda boring when you have to go to get the dragons power .... but you have to try hard and pull together to continue...where did you lose your enthusiasm ??

the polygons in breath of fire 4 PWNED all the other bofs :lol:no other breath of fire was created with a polygon display engine ... however despite the polygons the sprites were hand drawn !

I have the SNES version of BOF I and II, the PSX version of BF III and the PC version of BOF IV...żIs it really that different from the psx version? (bof IV, I mean).'cuase I didn't like the graphics in the PC version...

This game was great. It was second next to BOF2, b/c 2 was so original.

I liked BoF 4 the best. One thing I don't get is that Capcom must be lacking in the creativity department a little bit because Ryu and Nina are in evry single BoF game......WTF? :umm:

I recently picked up Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter for the PS2, and I was wondering if anyone found the series intresting on the Super Nintendo and later on the Playstation. The playstation had the best games due to the awful translation on the Super Nintendo versions. So, are there any other BOF fans out there?

That's probably the best BOF in the entire series, it's also got the second hottest Nina :whistle2: On a personal level the hottest Nina is the one from BOF 2 (looking for the Drool icon) But then again I love all the Ninas. Except Dragon Quarter Nina, she's just yucky.

I've played all of them in order except for the ps2 one and i'll have to say Bof2 was my favorite, because you change change your characters appearence by combinig them with those spirits also giving them new abilities. And I just like the characters more, I started losing interest when you couldn't use blue in the latter games

i've played all, well the 5th one on the ps2 just a little but, (just my opinion)the BoF5 Dragon quarter is not as great as the 1st and 2nd games on the snes but the entire series are really good, not great but really good ... :rofl2:

Breath Of Fire 4 for the PS1 is a really amazing game, haven't played the other ones though.

ive played BoF 1-4 i liked 1-3 but 4 was just horrible screwed the whole story up it doesnt have a thing to do with the others 1-3 are all one large story that spans over a few millenia 3 is my favorite best transformation system and story i havent played DQ yet though mainly cause i dont have a ps2 and ive yet to find a working emulator but ive heard some bad about it like the fact that you have a time meter and if you transform it uses some of it up
