i'm starting to play breath of fire the original snes game and i'd like to know is the series worth playing?

3 is better in the gameplay department.Breath of Fire 4 has a better fishing mini-game than the 3rd installment though.

first i never heard of bo 3 and 4and 1 and 2 is really good i like the idea of that one of your char can change inte a dragon

Very good series. It doesn't get much attention, but they're solid games, with very good gameplay, and I've always liked the storylines. 5 was definitely unique, and not for everyone, but I liked it. Overall I'd say 4 is my favorite.

Ershin is the coolest character EVER. That onion monster in the third installment is cool too.Nina, Ryu and that big guy are boooring.

Breath of Fire III is definitely one of the best RPGs for the PSX. And I'm lucky to have myself a copy. I love first 4 breath of fires. Though I really didnt enjoy the fifth one on the ps2.

I have Breath of Fire III and Breath of Fire IV for Playstation. Both great games.

Mome like BoF 4 and BoF 3 the most ^.^Mome thinky BoF 3 genes was cool but too little combinations hehMome thinky BoF 4 has best story in all BoF that Mome have play (1-4)

I've played all of them, but never really got into them (especially DQ) I like the look of 3 & 4 the best. 2 seemed dodgy in translation and 1 was perculiar for my liking.

I've played BOF5 and BOF2 for GBA >.<BOF5 is nothing awesome, I prefer BOF2 for GBA.

I like the series overall. My favourite is still 4, altho 3 is as awesome.And about 5. Well, I do like it, alot. It's different that the average RPG, true, but it's fun to play.

My favourite in the series would have to be BoF3. Love the Gene system, and the characters. Haven't played much of 4 though, and five is....well....five isn't too my liking.

I like the BoF series! The first games on the snes where fun, even though the translation of the sucked. My favorite BoF game is BoF 3! My least favorite is BoF5 'cause they changed the style of the game...

There isn't a Breath of Fire 5, there's 4 Breath of Fires and Dragon Quarter-an offshoot. It's basically like what Final Fantasy Mystic Quest was for Final Fantasy and we don't count that in the series.I've played all of them, but never really got into them (especially DQ) I like the look of 3 & 4 the best. 2 seemed dodgy in translation and 1 was perculiar for my liking.

I've beaten 1, 2, 3, and 4. I never got to play 5, however. It's a very good series I'd recommend to any console RPGer. ^_^

i think all games ROXS lolI think Bof5 is the worst of all of them i prefer bof 3 that is the better
cuz you can combine genes to create diferent type of dragons in bof 1,4,5 you have to select from a list of dragons, in bof2
i haven't played that but i still think bof3 is the better some times i create some strange dragons hehe... :whistle2:

BoF is one of my favorite games series just behind final fantasy but the dragon quarter game wasnt that great
