To me if you compare Super Mario64 on the N64 and the graphics from FF3 on DS they look pretty much the same.

I've played Mario kart 64 and Mario kart DS and you can tell the difference, the DS is more fully 3D then the N64 where they look flat, yet there backgrounds are flat still. You can also tell the difference in Super Mario 64 DS, his body is all together, in the N64 there these boxes that kind of leave gaps in his body.my vote is that the NDS is way better

I think that the screen makes it difficult to tell. I would be leaning towards Nintendo DS, giving it the benefit of a number of years of graphics development etc.

i've seen the n64 graphics, they are sometimes better than ds because the cartrides i think have more memory capacities. :gunsmile:

although graphics dont mean anything, all you have to do is play mario 64 and the remake on the ds. You'll notice the ds version has much better graphics on a much smaller system

Yeah NDS defininetly doesnt have better grahpics than n64. NDS is more comparable to PS1 or Sega Saturn.... but not 64

yes it does have great grahpics i say from what i have seen

Almost the same in my opinion. It seems as if the DS has less poly count than the N64, and the N64 graphics is a little worse than the PSP.

The DS is going to get my vote here. The graphics really seem smoother and crisper to me, and trust me I'm a N64 mark.
