Technically, the DS has better graphics but with the small screen it "looks" like the N64 has better graphics.

Realistically, I think DS has better graphics than N64. However, (Depending on the game,) N64's graphics have a better atmospheric 'feel' to them. I can't decide which i like the most though.

Honestly, I think that not only should one consider what game they're thinking of when comparing DS to 64. Some DS games I would say would have superior graphics compared to some 64 games, and vise versa. Then again, I do not think that it is fair for such different games to be compared. For one thing, DS is a portable game, while 64 is not. DS has a smaller screen, while the screen of the 64 depends on your TV screen. Personally I would find it better to compare 64 to other stationary systems and DS to other portables. But as it is a discussion about DS and 64, I have found 64 graphics to be blocky and some times discoloured. DS has vibrant colours from the games that I have seen so far. But again, it all depends on many different factors, as I've stated above.

Of course NDS is better than N64. It can be verified by checking out screenshots of both playing games. It would be like comparing PS1 to PS3 no offence.

I think that the NDS graphics is limited due to the amount of space. While playing a 3D game on the DS, it just doesn't feel right... As to playing N64 3D games, it has more of a 3D feeling IMO. Personally I think both graphics has goods and bads, but personally, I wouldn't decide. Since there are so many games to compare.

depends on what you're looking at. 2D visual novel graphics looks absolutely gorgeous on a ds. they didn't look so hot on the 64. 3D graphics are another story though -_-

I believe that 3D games, that try to look like real life, aren't for DSes. Maybe for PSPs, but not DSes

Nintendo DS has the potential to have way better graphics than Nintendo 64. If you really try push DS to its maximum, it can even have as almost a good graphics as the Wii itself. That's what's great about the DS. If you don't believe me, just look at what Square Enix did with it when they were remaking FFIV.
