The battle system attarcts me the most out of those choices. But that doesn't mean I don't like the other things either.

All of these are exactly as important for me. A rpg could have an excellent storyline but still suck. Take Unlimited SaGa for example. Good story, beautiful graphics, beatiful music, but awful gameplay and battle system. And sometimes a rpg can be excellent without a good story line. Take Paper Mario for example.

I say gameplay, but Storyline's good too... hmmm... Well, I went with gameplay in the end becuase I like leveling up and crushing things with my now unholy might, but maybe that's just me again.

Battle System probably. I like getting new weapons and armors and killing everything.

All my favourite sounds and soundtracks of games come from RPGs (listen to Magus´ Theme or Golden Sun Jupiter lighthouse...awesome). So it attracts me! But the storyline is great (Chrono Trigger and Golden Sun are the best RPGs ever)

First would be the Storyline, then the Graphics, then the Battle System~ everything else is w/e....., but the game has to have a good Storyline in order to get me hooked onto playing the game, and if the Graphics suck then I can't see anything, and then the Battle System..because I dun want to play a game that's like....oh attack....and then no movement, and I die....it's like wth..haha..

This is one of the toughest questions ive had to answer on this site.....the problem being a good rpg has to have a good storyline and good gameplay they kinda walk hand in hand cause if u got great gameplay but a crap story line then the game loses its importence and fun factor but on the other hand if u have a great storyline but cant lvl up, equip different weapons and armours than again it loses its fun factor, in the end i had to chose story line cause bewtween the 2 thats what i look for first.

I would have to say Gameplay and the fact that you have to search around while discovering the the next path to take or become puzzled when nothing seems to be happening. However storyline and battle system are also important since I prefer the newish turnstyle battle system e.g Tactics Orge, FF Tactics Advance.

Gameplay, it includes anything you can do while in the game. Next would be storyline.

For, me the most important aspect that attracts me to a RPG is the gameplay. I like it when rpgs introduce new and unique ways of doing things.

Id have to say storyline gameplay and replayability. Those are by far the most important features in any RPG to me.

I feel that the storyline is the foundation of most video game RPGs, after that comes the control and gameplay, then graphics, then sound. The major point of continuing with a RPG is to progress the story.

actually, i think battle system and storyline goes well together, judging from the votes and all. i mean, who would want to just ATTACK, Attack, attack...zzzzzz...and who would want to see a story that says "go for that damn final boss!(wateva...)"

When I first pick up a game it's the graphics; however, this aspect is minimal in the overall gaming experience.
