i picked the battle system. im a bit lazy and when u battle in rpg, all u do is pressing couple of buttons. unlike some other games where u have 2 jump and so on and do a lot of stuff

There is almost no replayability to an RPG.. usually you play it for a good 40 hours (well, good ones anyways), and you don't play it much again. But the fact that it takes so long to finish you want to keep playing to see the ending, that's what I like about them.

Well do you mean when chosing a rpg? or while playing one? anyways, storyline has always been important to me.

a good storyline is a must for any RPG. if there is none, you'll be like  "i can't believe a spent $50 on a game that made no sense" then you go all :machinegun: on random people

I said sidequests cause wat makes an rpg for me, is the ability to go where u want, and to stray from the storyline slightly.

Gameplay i would say is most important cause if u don't play tht much its more like a movie and then no body would buy it

It really takes a combination of quality from several of those things to make a good RPG. I'd lean toward battle system, the most, though. If I can't stand the battle system, I'm not going to deal with that game.

Battle System it is :ph34r:Whenever I play a new RPG, the first thing I want to know about is "what is the battle system like?". If it's cool and really interactive (like the FF series, Tales of Phantasia, and Star Ocean series), then I totally favour the RPG and will play it through to the end. I like fast pased systems too.

A good storyline, graphics, and battle system attracts me to rpg's if they don't have those then they tend to be kind of bad

I'd say it's the story; it's what makes it different from any other genre.

This was really hard, because I'm not sure what attracts me to an rpg. In the end i choose gameplay though.

The battle system because that's what you have to do the majority of the game.

The battle system all the way.A story is great.Music is great. But you can ignore the story, and turn off the volume. What really matters is the core game play

I think all the the aspects listed are important, but a good RPG always needs a good story line :(

For me its always the storyline because to me its what makes the RPG so interesting and fun to play with. The battles always comes dead second after that :(.
