Replayability attracts me the most since it is composed of all the other attributes like the battle system and the story line.

I voted battle system, but battle system combines with multiplayer would be my choice.

Battle system is my choice, even though I prefer real time ones.

Hmm... well, i guess the story line is essential to the quality of the game. as we have seen from FF12, it was a semi failure because of the lack of focus on the story. it was epic, but it was too epic, and thus throwing the details into dissaray...

The battle system. I don't like where it feels like you're just frozen and you HAVE to get hit. Games like Mario & Luigi they give you the option to dodge. Paper Mario has a unique attacking system which is cool and real-time RPG's attract me. Like the Tales of series especially.

This is a nice topic. Hmm...I'd have to say that gameplay, storyline, battlesys all rank as first. Graphics are important, but they're not everything. Look at FFVII, the graphics on that compared to now are just utter crap, yet I can still go back years later and start right from the beginning. Battle sys is ranked up there, cuz even though everything else is good, a really complex and/or annoying battlesys just turns you off (FFXII anybody?)

storyline obviously ... a game with pretty graphics and an awesome battle system would turn out to be a lil too repetetive if there isn't a juicy storyline backing it up.

I really enjoy role playing games that are more open, and less linear. So I guess gameplay is most important to me. But the story is also a very crucial factor.

Most RPGs have very dull stories, so the gameplay is usually what sucks me in. Deep character building and a fun combat system go a long way.

The storyline is the biggest aspect for me. If it has a good story hook on to it I'm game about it. I do like graphics though. If they got good graphics and storyline, its awesome. Forgot something, the battle system. I really like Star Ocean's battle system. It was really good for SNES. I like Final Fantasy 12 battle to. Not changing screens I really liked.
