A good storyline is key for me. I like good characters as well. That's why I'm very fond of the Suikoden series. Politics, war, betrayal....... mmm. Gotta love it.

Best RPG ever is oblivion and it has all those points. Its the new benchmark for all rpg's and now we have to wait untill tes's 5 outing and watever direction that goes in, it will be the best RPG ever just as Oblivon is the best 1 at the moment. Any1 who disagress diserves to be trapped ina room full of prostitutes and no money as punishment..

1. Storyline 2. Battle system 3. Re-Playability. Got to get my money's worth if I beat it too quickly.

i like grapics stuff like warcraft free to play storyline weps everything and popularity runescape sux but its popular

I would have to say Storyline and Gameplay, but how good is a gameplay without a good storyline? o_O

Definitely the storyline, it takes that special mix that makes you feel totally immersed in the game that keeps me hooked. I can even put up with horrid graphics and complicated controls if the game keeps making me get lost in my suspension of disbelief.

Yeah, the storyline is important, but I like to have customization as well. That way the game isn't the same each time you play it. Obviously replayability is a plus. :3

Great gameplay is always the deciding factor. Tales of Symphonia had me hooked with its amazing battle system.

It's gotta be the storyline, followed cloasely by the gameplay. If it's hard to play, it won't matter how good the story may or may not be.And the story PACING is key for me. I need to feel, pretty regularly like I'm making progress and working towards something. If I get sidetracked, I usually put the game down and forget to pick it up until a year later or more! :(
