Do you know how to use the pc with just the Alt key/button, Num Pad (group of #'s on right of keyboard), & the Esc key/button.

I actually do it a lot, because there's less movement involved then moving the mouse... just shows ya how lazy i can be, i guess. Its also quite handy when your helping somoene who puts their mouse on the left side of the computer. Rather then adapting, you can just use the keyboard.

I can do it but I rather not, I'm faster with the mouse. One time in school me and my friend taught a guy how to do it since they'd stolen the mouse's ball. and one time we had to copy paste letters into IE since someone had stolen the keyboard. Letter by letter.

It's quite possible. But, not very user-friendly.

I can, at times my mouse goes berzerk and I have no choice, as a matter of fact, that is one of the first things I learned how to do when getting into my current field (of which I am pretty good at), as a matter of face, (believe it or not), my mother was able to do it on win 3.1, but she forgot most of what she knew about computers and barely even knows how to keep hers protected (I call it the ashtray, she smokes constantly around it)

I can operate a PC without a mouse, but in some cases I do prefer using a mouse over the keyboard. I use a lot of shortcuts that are build into the programs... They made those things for a reason you know. :wtf:

I have a laptop and I don't really like using the touchpad and even less an external mouse, so I often use the keyboard instead of mouse.

I would be seriously impressed if someone could navigate a website made using Flash without a mouse. But for the most part, I prefer to use the keyboard because it is faster and it makes it unnecessary to position the mouse pointer just right. Sometimes I find that I do some really stupid things because the mouse pointer moves right before I choose to delete something (I have an optical mouse that sometimes gets confused), which is a problem that is easily solved by just using the keyboard.

I don't really have a problem to use a PC without a mouse. The problem is when I want to use programs like Flash, Paintshop and so. Without a mouse in Flash and Paintshop you are doomed. I don't think that even with the hotkeys you can do anything.

This poll is ridiculous. It's like saying, Apple Pie...can it be made. The answer is already yes, foo.Doctors implanted a chip, and growth stimulating serum into a paraplegic's brain, which allows him to control his computer with...his mind...dude...his mind. Anyway, they're starting to do this for a lot of paralyzed people.

there's a program in windows called mouse keys that lets the keyboard act as the mouse. Let's just say that doesn't work very well.

If you do use a computer without an external mouse, to switch programs the easiest way is to do this:Press Alt and hold itThen press Tab once to get up a switching menu. Use the tab keys to choose the program, then when the one is selected, release Alt(I only know that it works on an XP machine)

Even though I rather use my trusty laser mouse, I can navigate my computer pretty well without a mouse.

Though it wasn't much of a choice, was it? You HAD to use the keyboard!! <_< (Nah, don't get me wrong, I never used DOS)
