I used to do it all the time growing up. It was called DOS and we liked it that way!

Though it wasn't much of a choice, was it? You HAD to use the keyboard!! :) (Nah, don't get me wrong, I never used DOS)

Give it a try, I learned it in school, last year

Haha, old school DOS, woot. Good times. I remember when I got my first mouse, it was ugly, white, and had no scroll button. Used a console port to connect if I remember right aswell. I wondered what the hell the point was. But a few days after that we got a copy of Windows 3.1.1 from a friend of the family. Then, the clicking began. As for these days, there's alot of things you can do without the mouse, and occasionally they can be done a damn sight faster. Depends on your knowledge of the keyboard layout, and your typing speeds. Some things can't be down without the mouse though, unless there's some sort of 'control the cursor with the arrow keys' thing. Never really bothered to check. :)

I love the shortcuts. My personal favorite is the Minimize ALL Windows key (Window Key + D).

I do it alot at my school where all the kids are juvenile enough to take trackballs out of the mice and use them as makeshift alternitives to chewing gum. (yes the kids at my school are that desperate)

You just need to press Tab a couple of times. It is more efficent and faster if you just use a mouse.

I wouldn't want to do image editing without a mouse. Imagine drawing even simple shapes...Then again, I don't do graphics alot. For many other things, I use the command line. So using only the keyboard would be very possible for me.What about the other way round: only mouse and no keyboard? :shiftyninja:

They have that already. It is called a Mac.Seriously speaking though there are touchscreen kiosks and tablet based computers that essentially act as a computer controlled by a mouse. Any text input is performed via an on screen keyboard rather than a physical one.

I can't do it 100%, but I can do many things without usage of the mouse. Once you memorize the keystrokes, it's actually pretty easy and simplifies the experience. Perfect example is in Paint Shop Pro. You don't want to lose your spot, so just use the keystrokes instead!

Not to hard and useful when the mouse isn't installed or you uninstall it to auto reset it's driverTab,arrows, shortcut(keyboard right click button),enter and alt+tab is all you really need

MouseKeys actually saved my ass once when the mouse on one of our work computers died mysteriously and we didn't have access to another one. YAY.

Is the cat in the box alive or dead?

If you open the box, you will know the answer.

You will know the truth.

However, until you open the box, you can claim that the cat is alive, and you can also claim it is dead.

Yes but I hate navigating with out a mouse, if there are a lot of links, it takes forever.
