Mmmm, I'd say that there are several final battles that I liked for several different reasons.Overal Best Final Boss - Guygas (Earthbound)Hands down, the best final boss IMO. He was invulnerable, all of your attacks were meaningless. He was literally pure power. You couldn't even comprehend his attacks (unless you know way too much about the game, then you could tell what attack he was using even though it didn't tell you)It was like all the time you spend playing the game was for nothing; you got Ness powered up at the 8 Sanctuaries and it didn't even make a difference. At least, not until you could actually injure him :PTHAT is my kind of last boss. Despair! Futility! Hopelessness! Every other last boss is just using the ultimate attacks until they run out of health. Not this one! :PFavorite Villian in a Last Boss Battle - The Magic Emperor (Lunar Silver Star Story)Considering Ghaleon was one of my favorite characters in the game, I was looking forward to this final battle quite a bit (of course, I liked every character in SSS 
). When the battle began, I was a bit dissapointed though; he was a lot easier than I had thought. I had more trouble with the Fake Magic Emperor at the Grindery, or Zophar in Lunar 2. Ah well... Ghaleon's still cool :PHardest Last Boss: Si Ma Yi (Destiny of an Emperor 1) {should be Sima Yi, or Ssuma I}Seriously, this guy was a pain and a half. Not only did you have to take out his two kids before this battle began (and they came along with 3 decent officers), Sima Yi came packing his own formidable force! (Could've been better if Zhuge Liang knew An Sha... then two of 'em would drop like nobodies business)Sima Yi had a nasty 40k troops on him, and should he even get close to 10k, he'd just use Wan Fu and recover them all (and dropping his 30k soldiers wasn't easy either). He also has Je Mian which makes his entire army invulnerable to regular attacks so you'll either have to sit around and take hits until it wears off or use up your TP using tactics. This battle took forever

The one I like most is the boss from Crono Trigger....but as the topic states about PS1, I vote for Sephiroth...

Well obviously, but if their weaknesses are blatantly obvious, then they're not difficult, and the only other way is to look in a walkthrough, which is GAY! Especially for RPG's!Anyway, Sephiroth is EASILY the best ending boss, he has the best character, best storyline, best looks, and the best theme music at the end of ffvii (The One Winged Angel)Go sephirothh...All of them are easy to beat...that is if you know their weakness...

kefka was average for me,Sephiroth was cool but too easy,Ultimercia was easy but she had REALLLLLLY TOO MUCH HEALTHMy fave in ff boss is ff9's (whatever his name was cause he could be some challenge even if you had all ultimate weapons and all

my favorite final boss was facing Valmar on Grandia 2. overall, game was easy though.hardest final boss was, hmm... i'll say Smithy from Mario RPG.

I liked the final boss in Vagrant story... the game kinda sucked though, I think it needed some stat balancing. (ie. if you didnt know how to fight him the final boss could kill you in one hit)

ultima weapon was really strong, i think ultimecia was too easy, the game would have been a lot harder as ultima weapon being the boss

I'll go with the suikoden games... they had some awesome end of the game battles that I very much enjoyed beating... also Keftka of FFVI was pretty cool...

Sephiroth in FF7 or one winged angel in KH. Sin Harvest so friggin annoying, he hits me with it as i'm in the middle of a combo. I can't recover and he smacks me with a follow up and I die.

Nemisis from my game, called "Vortex Storm v0.2" He is almost impossable to beat, you need to be lvl 100 to have a chance and by the time you reach him, you would be lvl 95, so as you see... REALLY HARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Deus at the end of Xenogears was pretty awsome. He had 4 things orbiting him that you could kill first to remove some of his special abilities.Zeon from Shining Force 2 and Dark Force from Phantasy Star 4 were also pretty cool.

sephiroth was cooland also Eve(Melissa i think?!?, I don't remember her name) in Parasite Eve...but not the ultimate being, it sucked a lot and was so easy to beat!!!haha

Hmm, as far as final bosses go, I'd have to say Ultimecia junctioned with Griever. That took at least 30 mins to beat.

well i liked the real final fight in suikoden 2 with Jowy, it made a change from other rpgs

I'd have to say the Lifa Tree in FF9, because it can kill you (OK, technically KO you) really fast if you accidentally hit it with fire...

Being a FF9 fan I'll say Kuja he is was stronger then the 2nd final boss Nercon.Nercon was way too easy!
