Final Fantasy forever! Nothing tops Final Fantasy. Especially Final Fantasy Tactics. Not that the actual Final Fantasies aren't that great, just that tactics is amazing. Fable is awesome, though. It is just so short. Kingdom Hearts is definetly more capable of being a comparison to the Final Fantasy series. That game rocks!

I love both games, but FF seems rather repetitive. where as fable well random and kick donkey! id go with fable.

Final Fantasy has 20 x more depth than Fable. Also if you wanna beat a game in 7 hrs get fable, but if you wanna spend lots of time playing get a ff game.

Fable is the only real RPG here. While the Final Fantasy games are good, you don't actually adopt the role of the character as one would expect to in a Role Playing Game. Fable, while short in terms of the main storyline, and somewhat limited in terms of items and such, still leaves almost all of the character to your imagination, as a true RPG should. Final Fantasy, on the other hand, merely has you follow a static character through a set path and storyline. It's all up to personal opinion, however. While Final Fantasy games are great, and the series is a classic, Fable hits much closer to the actual RPG mark.

I don't think you can say that Final Fantasy isn't a role playing game. It's fairer to say that the RPG genre has spawned out several sub-genres. I agree, RPG's should allow you to make key decisions (At the least, if not allow specific character development found in Elder Scrolls or Fable) but this is not necessarily the definition of the genre. In Final Fantasy, you do play the role of the character and complete specific quests tailored to that character's life. You play his/her role. So, where Fable is much more immersive, FF results in a movie feel and separates you from the game. This detachment from the game lends the genre a stale game play that's been copied far too many times. FFX tried to steer away from this with it's character trees, but still, the characters are what the story requires them to be, instead of the story being what the characters require. It's a different view on gaming, and sadly a very re-hashed, over-down take on things. The true RPG would be Fable, where FF must fall into the movie/cinematic sub-genre. In this respect, Fable brought more innovation to the table than any FF game (excluding, of course, FFI and Tactics), and therefore is a superior game. Final Fantasy is a dead series; there's nothing left for them to milk. Square Enix needs a new title, and a new idea.

depends wich FF cause fable is cool but FF is more....expanded ( you can play fable out within 12 hours [EASY] if you stick to main quests)

The new Final Fantasys are no good if you're an old schooler.Old school Final Fantasys rock, however. Fable is close to being a mature, more open ended Zelda. If that sounds like your bag, go that way.

i would go with fabel even though it isnt online final fantasy XI you have to play online and it has a pay a monthly paymen just to play it

it all depends on which FF games we are talking about , i mean the new ones just suck like 10,and 11 
.FF7 and FF9 are the best ones in my opinion ,but for the Xbox i would go for Fable. its pretty fun until you beat all the missions.

Final Fantasy is far superior. The story in Fable was good, stories in final fantasy are brillaint. Graphically the recent final fantasies are better- like the cutscenes in X were brilliant and XII is coming out soon and looks pretty good. And there's no more "Random Encounters" in final fantasy anymore with XII so Final Fantasy in my opinion is alot better and still improving. Fable was great though... too short.

Fable was alright, but it wasn't as good as the hype that went over it. It was supposed to be better, and it probably could have been, FF is still a lot better.

I say ff cause well its longer n harder than fable. To me fable isnt actually a real rpg cause well its too short n way too easy compared to everything else. And anyways japanese rpg's always beat nglish ones.And plus ff has way more cool chrtr's n ur not stuck as one chrtr with a limit amount of skills.

For me the Fable has more RPG of that Final Fantasy. But I still find the game is more coll the Final Fantasy of that the Fable.

It appears the Ayes have it. I'ma have to go with Fable as well. It may be short, but there are choices. How many times have you longed to beat an annoying Final Fantasy character to a bloody pulp? In Fable, you can do that.

Yeah, Fable totally owns Final Fantasy by a long shot. In the FF series, it's quite repetitive. In Fable, you don't -have- to do the same thing over and over if you don't want to.

Yea Fable is cool cause if you are maxed good you are like a angel people cheer for you but if you are maxed evil you are a demon and people fear youFable of course. FF online isn't that good.
