movies don't really make me cry, like in Poseidon the characters die often so I was expecting it, but if they die out of nowhere it's too fast for me. If it's drawn out, I may feel bad, but I don't think I've ever started bawling...

I have the typical answers such as Titanic and Brokeback Mountain. Those really are the tear-jerker kind of movies. I have a friend who cries at almost every movie, even LEGALLY BLOND! Bet you can't believe that.

The only time I can remember crying at a movie was the scene in Forrest Gump when Bubba is shot and dying on the side of the river. That was the saddest point in that movie. Jenny's death was sad but you were told it was coming several scenes prior and Momma had to go at some point in order to leave Gump with no parental figure in the movie. Bubba was so innocent and honest and his death was just so sad that I cried. Eighteen years old, in a Sociology class earlier this year and I cried. So did everyone.

I almost hate to admit it but I teared up a little bit during the Lion King where Mufasa died. I remember because I was in the cinema with my mother and I felt so embarrassed. Of course I looked over to her and she was doing the very same thing! Two of my cousins, both of whom are young boys watched the movie with me when I was babysitting them a few months ago and one cried during a few parts and the other laughed. Kids these days, huh?

Bridge to Terabithia. New one and old one. I cried so hard when I heard that the girl died. I don't remember her name right now. I really liked her! I was in school when I saw the old one and at home when I saw the new one. I always cried. If I watched it again, I'm sure I would cry again. I still love that movie, though.

Through the years I have seen numerous movies that have been quite emotional. A few times, a well done movie has caused me to cry. A Walk to Remember is a tremendously touching film, so impactful on not just the Christian community, but to anyone that watches the film. Another, and I admit, might be somewhat childish, is My Dog Skip. A third great movie that moves even the most stoic of viewers is the Passion of the Christ, for watching the sincere nature of Christ being beaten to the very brink of death itself, is truly beautiful. Now don't get the wrong impression, for I do still love a great war movie such as Braveheart, but you cannot deny the beauty of a well done emotional film. The Scholar
