Almost all of the old Final Fantasy Series have already been revived in the DS.It may take some time until it gets to FF VII. What everyone knows, FF IV is upcoming. 3 more series left before FF VII.It may be possible that they may revive it too in the DS, who knows? maybe Square Enix does...

well crap if it needed 4 discs for psx, itd probably need multiple cards for nds too. Howd that work out?

It isnt a good idea. For one, it's a big game, and I doubt it will fit in one card. and also, the psp's graphics are better imo. To me, it would make more sense to put it on psp (or ps3) than on a nintendo system (no, I am not a sony fanboi)

I think that if ff7 went to the ds they could make the game fantastic with touch screen attacks and spells with good graphics and cut scenes

thought of that too... would be awesome, and make sense... but FF VII has some kind of taboo with nintendo (remember, it was the first FF game to be released on a non nintendo console).lets just hope that square enix notices how much money they are making with remakes and make the gameWhat the title says. the DS has Slightly better graphics then the PS1, and FF7 is one of sqares best games. I hope they do.

I definately think that they should. Its an awesome game and its really hard to get playstation 1 these days, so it would suck if it died out.

Just to repeat what other people said before. No, because that game needed 3 CDs to play it, and last I check a CD has about 750 Megabytes, and the NDS cartridge only has a fraction of that. It would take multiple NDS cartridges for that to work. But they could also go to the Xenosaga route, and remove all the fmv and put it to stills, which will be more boring if you ask me.Not only that, but when people played FF7 for the first time its graphics were considered the state of the art, and lets be frank the NDS does not exactly produce really jaw dropping graphics, so people will be alienated. Especially in an era where graphics alone can save video game.I could see it going to the psp, but really I think square will gain a bigger profit if it goes to the ps3 and 360.

i can see the possibility of ff7 being revived but not on DS, like everyone has pointed out, most of the other games resurrected on DS are the old school FFs, the ones that are 2D, sure they have gotten a facelift (putting them into 3D) but the simplicity of the gameplay pales in comparison to FF7 and its HUGE content (3 disks). the recoding of the game might take some huge chunks off the size, but i dont see it fitting in a DS cart.and if they DO ressurect ff7 on the DS, they would take a lot of content off. honestly I'd rather see it on PS3, remember that ff7 teaser on ps3?

Final Fantasy 7 will never and could never be put into the DS. The original game itself is just too big of a file to render on the DS. If it were to be put on the DS it would be some downgraded graphics version of it. Besides Final Fantasy 7 wasn't meant to be played on a small screen.

I actually think it would be better if Square-Enix remake it on the PSP or the PS3 rather than on the Nintendo DS!

Like many of the previous posters mentioned, it's more wishful thinking. FF7 just requires too much disk space to be able to be put into a single cart on the DS. As much as all of us would like to see it happen, it's more likely that that game will be released on the PSP and PS3 rather than the DS.

Lol, funny question. Final Fantasy VII can only be remastered on the PS3 and nothing else.
I hope I get a minus (-) warning level because I really need discounts on DP Conversions/Loans...

There's now FF7 on PS1, FF7 the movie (Advent Children), FF7 Dirge OF Ceberus and FF7 Crisis core on PSP... And the next will be a remake on PS3 so.... And the game is make for Sony en Microsoft, neve Square Enix will sell is games to Nintendo

slightly better? omg, i played ff7 b4, the story was nice, but i think the graphic suks like my popo, if wanna re-do, at least profine the graphics to market value, if not its like a humilation for NDS, so is ff7 out already?
