The could do it but we're talking about Squeenix here. In other words, it will never happen.

What the title says. the DS has Slightly better graphics then the PS1, and FF7 is one of sqares best games. I hope they do.

Well i think if they make it for ds then they will need some kind of memory card bbecause ff7 is a long game

I dont think itll suit after seeing Dirge of cerebruis (or whatever) and Advent Child the characters cant suit in ds mode. I cant even play PSX version again with psx emulator on a good pc.

I think it would be a great idea and if it is too big for one cartridge then make the game using 2 cartridges.

That would be a really great idea, but I would rather have Square Enix put all their resources into current games like Revenant Wings, and put more ephasis on making future games as good as FFVII instead of porting it to the DS or thinking of remaking the game on PS3.

it's a great game, but it would be way too much for the ds. i'd agree with tec2030, just concentrate on making new games, you can just emulate it on the pc...

Also, if you have PSP, you will be able to download the original version of the game once the PS3 come out.

I just said it, it IS coming to the PSP, but in a downloadable form. Once the PS3 comes out you will be able to download old PS1 games, and Final Fantasy VII has been confirmed.

If it were to be ported, I think they would go for PSP. It seems to be easier to do that than onto the DS.

Well of course, they would basically have to put it on multiple carts. And then to do that, they would have to save the game onto the hardware or some sort of memory card because to transfer you team over the the next cart they would have to have some sort of way to get the info over. Too complicated if you ask me.

I for one think they should just let final fantast 7 die. But seeing as how they will never let go of it, I wouldn't mind them releasing it for ds as long as they don't screw around with it to make it "Better". It was a god among fantasy games when it was released the first time and it will provide a nice natalgic felling to play it on my ds but if they try to change anything in order to provide a new challenge then they must be destroyed.

FF7 has been done to death. I don't think there will be a remake of FF7 as it's been milked for too much already. But everyone knows it would be cool.

I hope they won't port it to the DS. It would be ruining a great system with a medicore (at best) game.

That would definately be awesome, but the chances of it happening aren't very high at all.
