What a great game. And yes, I've gotten through all the levels. The secret levels like "Tubular" were hard though.

It is the greatest Mario, adventure, and platformer game of the SNES era.Like someone said before, it doesn't take that long if you know what to do.I beat it in about 4 hours once. (just going through it)The bosses were cool, and maybe Nintendo will make a new Super Mario World?

Just recently I've beaten Super Mario World with a 96! I was excited, but unfortunately, there's no special ending, I was saddened... but the nifty color change when you beat star world was pretty cool....

I think the maximum amount of levels is 98...There was a rumour that there was 100, but I don't know if it was ever confirmed - something to do with getting all 5 'Yoshi Coins' in every stage, and getting every single exit route.A great game - perhaps even the best Mario game of all!

I only just recently finished the eight special levels, and I've been playing the game since the release date. Finally, the alternate color palette!SMW is probably my favorite childhood gaming memory...I still go back to it when I get bored.

I've beaten the game and found every secret level, thanks to the power of a new technology known as: "THE INTERNET"Love the catchy music, that's my favourite part. it changes theme in almost every stage, but keeps the same tune. makes for a good atmosphere.

This IS a fantastic game and yes I managed to find every hidden exit in every level and went through all the secret levels too. The neat thing is you can get to the special world once you find the very first Star entrance in World 2. From there you can go through all the Star Levels and get to the Special World. I'd recommend getting one of the Blue flying Yoshi's from the Star Levels since they make it possible to find the key in every Star World, even without unlocking any of the green and red and blue blocks. Also, stay on the Special World screen for a while and you'll get a jazzed up version of the Mario theme. I used to study to that song in college...it helped me focus.Stevo

I remember that for some time, like 7 months, it was my only SNES game. It amazed me how it didn't get boring after that long. It always had that fresh feeling when re-playing the stages. And since there are so many of them, surely there's some which you haven't played in so long, they seem perfectly new when you play them again. There are some who would argue that Mario 3 was more original, but hey, everyone is entitled to their opinion. Personally I like them both.

Has anyone here performed a speed run for the game? It takes anywhere between 15 and 20 minutes to get from the Yoshi's Island to the Front Door of Bowser's Castle. It's an awesome run, you should try it.
