Megaman 3!!! That game took so many hours out of my childhood. Not to mention a lot of AA batteries.....

id have to say the best old game boy game is double dragon. when i was 5 i used to sneak my gameboy outside in the rain to play cus my mom was very strict with games

Super Mario Land; an absolute classic. I still think the plane level was awesome.

I'd have to say the Pokemon games hands down. These games revolutionized gaming, as only few games can. I spent countless hours playing Blue Version trying to get all my Pokemon to level 100 (I didn't know about Missingno. at that time) and actually did it.
