I've read alot of the posts.. but I don't think I've seen this one yet. My favorite "old" gameboy game HAS to be Bases Loaded. This gem from Jaleco STILL gets me to this day.. possibly the best AI for a game of believable baseball, plus the hitting is top-notch and the fielding/pitching is better done than most anything that has come since. And finally the sound... CLASSIC. love the high pop-ups/home runs. WHHEEOOOOOOOO. good, great times.

Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening... there's a reason it was on top of the Nintendo Power charts for the longest time ever. Even the crazy Pokemon surge took a while to overtake it!Yea, that is a LEGIT GB game. No others can really compare too well.

I've got to go with Tetris. That's the game that made the Gameboy such a success back in the day.

Tetris is a pretty fun game, as is Nightmare in Dreamland. Those two get my vote (Not counting the Pokemon games).

I'd have to say Azure Dreams. I first played it on PSX... a lot. You level a bunch of monsters you raise from eggs, level in a dungeon that changes shape, build your hometown and house up, and mack on all the girls in town. All the while, the game is actually cool and fun. The Gameboy version focused more on the dungeon crawling aspect, and looked like some kinda Pokemon clone whenever you fight your rival. But, i played for too many hours to not admit it was my favorite game ;)

I agree with ChaosBreakerXI. Nice to see someone else loves Azure Dreams. That game needs more love!

Definately the legend of zelda: links awakening, because it made me start to play zelda games, and pokemon blue/red, started me on an endless(?) journey to play pokemon.
