The classic, I think - using only your favorite pokemon and leaving all the rest at measly levels. I didn't even catch that many. My first was Gold, and (I was 10, ok?!) I picked the 'cutest' starter, Chikorita. After I caught a Pidgey I used it and nothing else. I managed to get up to Olivine before I realised I had to catch a water pokemon to proceed (a Tentacruel). THEN, I decided to battle Jasmine with my level 50 Pidgeot. Haha... after that failed, I trained up and continued to persist in fighting losing battles until I got up to level 70, and made Pidgeot learn Return. Y'know, I actually managed to beat Red with only a level 90 Pidgeot and level 48 Meganium. ^___^ll

The funniest thing was to throw poke balls and see if the Pokemon stay inside.

when i almost started playing pokemon ........i have no idea what pokemon am i catching all of the pokemons that look like rare i cauth them.............after i finish half of the game...............i went to pokecenter and chek out my pc..............i didnot know that i have catch many pokemon almost half of the poke dex

my funniest thing back in my newbie days is that i threw the oak's parcel with me. thought it has no use and got stuck. same thing i did to ssticket in my yellow.

1. I rushed into my first gym battle without other pokemon or training2. I killed all legendary pokemon to be the best3. I trained only one pokemon so when it died i only had level 5s4. I used the only masterball i had on a relicanth

The most stupid thing I done was in pkmn yellow. I taught my Pikachu FLASH. Oh my god, that was a wasted move so I started the whole thing again. My mate couldn't stop laughing at me for doing that

I spent hours trying to evolve a stupid metapod... I freaked out when i canceled my charmander evolution ( a guy told me to press B when it was evolving because there was a chance of failure).

Battling as many Pokemon as you could without healing yourself or running into the middle of one of the forests without any good equipment. That stuff will really get you killed (in the game that is).

First starting off with Red version,I didn't know how to buy Pokeballs.I would go into the POKECENTER and see the Pokeball behind her and be like "How do I buy a Pokeball?!"I got Ruby Version and beat it with every Pokemon,left it down at my grandparents and my little cousin erased the file.....

Yeah, I was dumb enough to think that too. Not saying your dumb but used to wonder about that pokeball behind the counter too.First starting off with Red version,I didn't know how to buy Pokeballs.I would go into the POKECENTER and see the Pokeball behind her and be like "How do I buy a Pokeball?!"

the funniest thing i did hmmmm... i think it is in my first game pokemon red i took a bulbisaur as starter n trained only it , it evolve but when i did the elite 4 it got teared n i also then took charmender as starter but it got beaten at brock n misty gym

I decided to catch Missingno., yeah that was stupid. But using that glitch I caught a level 256 Mewtwo (creature varies from cartridge to cartridge, on my blue it was a Golduck and on my brothers Red it was a Snorlax)

This was when my firend and I were really young. Caught a nidoran at the beginning and named him Horny. I now realize how wrong that is.

Back in the original red, I fought Mewtwo with only 3 pokeballs in my inventory. It got worse as one of my friends showed up and saw this event unfold, so to save face I had to kill Mewtwo when I didnt save the game for the past few hours.

hmm, i would say that the first time i saw a goldeen pokemon card, i thought it was a goldfish, and told my friend so. Same with the sparrow, thought it was a chicken.
