I like both the japanese versions more than the english. But if i hade to choose between Simple and Clean and Sanctuary, i would go for Sanctuary.

Really out of the 4 openings (Hikari, Simple and Clean, Passion, and Sanctuary), I'd go with Sanctuary as my favorite.Oddly enough, after that comes Hikari and Simple and Clean, meaning Passion is my least favorite. Kinda a mirror image thing.

I like passion over simple and clean but they're both nice <3 Passion is better for me cz it sounds nicer(for me) as a beginning song. I think simple and clean should be an ending song.... which it is, right?

the first one has the best opening. it is what sucked me into the game in the first place.

Simple and clean hands down. I loved that song, and it captured the story and feelings of the first KH very well. I even welled up a bit during KH1 ending while that song was playing. O_O

They're both really good, a testament to the quality of the series as a whole. I prefer "Sanctuary" myself; it's both more catchy and haunting.Good topic, by the way.

After rewatching both Kingdom Hearts Openings, i definitely have to say KH2 is the winner. Simple and Clean/Hikari is a classic in itself and i do prefer the first KH over KH2 when it comes to storyline. In this case however, KH2's opening really beautifully done as well as the song, Sanctuary. Also, i prefer the japanese versions of both songs over the english.

Sanctuary doesnt fit for a fighting game like Kingdom hearts, Simple and Clean is Awsome and deserves to be number 1! plus the singer is super cute!

I prefer Simple and Clean over Sanctuary. I still remember all the words to SaC and I've yet to learn the words to Sanctuary.

I only chose Simple and Clean since I chose according to the Japanese versions and not the English ones.Simple and Clean(Japanese version: Hikari) for me is soothing and has a cooler edge to it.But I still love both songs dearly~

I prefer Simple and Clean, but I prefer the Simple and Clean version used for the ending, not the remix in the opening. If its a question of better opening, I prefer Sanctuary over the remixed Simple and Clean
