Its good for a umd when your on a plane. like me. i do a lot of travveling long haul. so the good thing for me is tht on a 4 hour flight. i just watch king kong!

Yea, but Japan is a totally different world from America, they are a lot less 'childish' when it comes to things like adult content, in America, we think that just a nipple on a magazine is totally wrong, but it is okay to have it INSIDE the magazine? WTF? Makes no sense because we still put a black cover over the magazine anyway. Plus, since every state is different, some states are okay with Adult content while others are not, Japan is just one whole united Adult okay world.Which is why UMDs are more for Japan.But still, UMD movies are just DVD's for a PSP, nothing special, if anything, less, because i remember that the UMD format is harder to convert meaning less special features than a normal DVD along with lower quality and in the end, as much as I want to fight the urge to say it...doing illegal pirating is worth the risk rather than just going out and buying a UMDthe UMD movie format failed, at least outside of Japan, that is. most of the movies u get can already be gotten on a DVD, ripped, into Memory Stick.but here's an interesting fact: UMD movies are actually doing very well in Japan. reason: adult content, A.K.A pornography. a lot of these "Adult Theatre" comapanies are releasing their shows on UMD, exclusively. Sony earns.but honestly, i tihnk that if Sony wants to keep UMD movies alive out of Japan, they have to get some exclusive content for the format, or at least wait a couple of months til they release it on DVD.

some MIGHT be worth it, if its a really great movie or if you travel and play alot of games

psp UMD movies were a bad idea. they cost more than dvds and most of the movies they converted suck

hell yeah that its worth i got a few movies for the psp myself like final fantasy 7 advent children that rulesand in the store the movies kost only 10.00

well les say i was going to China and im bored on the air plane, u cant bring a plazma tv and watch it first too bigsecound were will you get the soccetand third it would be croudedits basicly a portable dvd player or u can convert the movie into mp4 form and watch it

I don't think they're worth it. I'm using my PSP only for music or playing and I have just one UMD and that's Advent Children so I can watch it when I want

Nope, UMD movies aren't worth it. Buy a few 2GB MS and start loading movies in. It's better.

I don't think it's worth it because you pretty much own the same movies on DVD already. I can't see the reason to spend the money to buy the same movies that you already own.

Overall, UMD's have turned out to be pretty competent - and they hold a ton of info, as well! I hope they improve the technology before Nintendo's DS Card's catch up!

+1 and agreed.Buy a DVD, watch it on a big screen! Relax on a couch, don't worry about holding your PSP to watch it.you are better off saving your money and buying a dvd instead

Well when DVDs are the same price if not cheaper i dont think theres much point.Id only buy them if the were considerably cheaper than normal DVDs

nice way to watch movie when u don't have a tv plus having an umd let u have different language and subtitle so it is definitely worth it.

well the movies are only worth it if they are good movies...like seriously u wouldnt get a movie that sucks..its only worth it if its a movie worth watching over n over again
