The older ones were best.The new ones are too flashy.

the old one are pretty. think they spent more time on the story line then the graphic nowdays not saying it's a bad thing the graphic are getting good.. it just personally think rpg were design for the stories not the graphic

No, most old RPg's don't match up to new ones, but of course a few old RPG's are better. I would say no to your question.

Closest thing I came to an RPG for NES is Zelda, if I can't remember the storyline it probably weren't all that great to me. Some of the current RPGs for GBA / DS have stuck much better, even if it's 5 years since I played them.So I say no, the new ones are better.
