even after FFXII, my top FF are FF V (top - nothing beats the job system and the storyline) and FVI (second - lots of cool charaters and great story too)Only in third comes FF VIII (I lob the GF's and the draw and junction system)

I liked 6 the most because of Kefka and the characters but I also like 5 a lot because of the job system.

I would have to say for me it was FF III. I thought the story line, the music, the battles were fantastic!

I would say FFII for SNES (although its commonly known as FFIV now). To date, it has the best plot I've ever seen in a game.

i love all final fantasy equally(mabye with the exepction off ffX-2 and the online final fantasy), but of the old one, Final Fantasy 2/4 (it was ff2 on the snes/ ff4 on the PS) because it was the one that i got hooked with for final fantasy.

Final Fantasy V, the customization was something out of this world and hell, it featured some of the jobs i like the most like knight, ninja, dragoon and even the samurai. I loved the samurai and his blade grasp

Final Fantasy IV is my favorite (played the GBA version and is the only one I played). I enjoy the music and the plot was interesting. It actually showed people experienced in their class or subject and not someone inexperienced to be the heroes, okay most of the playable characters. Although my favorite character didn't get enough character development since he was the technically the last party member recruitable and it was around the end of the storyline.

My favorite was definitely Final Fantasy VI on the Super NES, because it was the game to get me hooked on the other games in the series.

I personally liked 3/6 the best....but I wish it had the character system like 2/4 did. Like you have to use certain characters all the time. Maybe switch like 2 or 3 characters out of your party.

Personally, I loved Final Fantasy I. The magic system and old school graphics are still pretty enjoyable.

Final Fantasy VI. Great story, well developed characters, awesome music and addicting fast-pace game play. What more can you ask for?

With what I'm sure is the popular answer, FF VI (III in the US). As others, I loved practically everything about it, but the story, characters and music above all else. Heh, for whatever reason, the first thing I recall whenever I think of the game is Celes singing her solo in the opera.

I like 4 better because when as a kid I always found Cecil as a model hero to me along with his paladin skills as well and knows between whats right and wrong. And if there are evil doers out there, justice will serve them.

FFIV because it is the only one that I have completed. For the ds. They say it's the hardest final fantasy game made yet and they were right. Without cheating I could only make it to the giants head where you have to fight all four archfiends at the same time. I almost beat them a couple times but that last guy always killed my team with his fire attack. So I cheated and was able to beat the game. Keep in mind I cheated only so I could see how the game finishes.
