Can somebody tell me what this Pokemon Battle Revolution thing is? Is it some thing which you need to play Wi-Fi for Diamond or Pearl?

Keyword 'Revolution', the code name for the Wii. It's going to be like Collaseum for Wii, with some RPG elements. As for the games, I'll likely buy them, because I always get my moneys worth out of them, no matter how boring,.-Xero.

Hmmmm, with the transfer thingy... what i HEAR happens is that the transfered pokemon go into a special park and you have to catch them manually.... go to serebii for proper details.

Well DeSmuME has made a few progress with the v4.0 but the release of DP is in less than one month, I don't think it will be enough.

The starters are, according to an assistant at Gamefreak, Dark/Fight/Psy.

Is it bad that I am STILL laughing about this? >=( (Not meant in a mean way at all, btw.)----Anyway, I am looking forward to the games, even though I don't like the quite linear gameplay. I agree that the games are, in a way, "getting old" because the goal doesn't change much (get a pokemon to do an errend, get sent off into the world of pokemon to beat the 8 gyms, go to the elite 4, catch them all, etc) even if the characters, area, and events do.I like the side quests that you can do at your own pace (Safari Zone, bug catching contest, the trait contests, etc) even if there are some restrictions (getting to a certain point in game, correct day, etc) because there is still more gameplay freedom to them. They can add more choices without taking away the child-friendly game play. It's as easy as getting a choice in errends (your "rival" can do the one you don't pick), like... retrieving a package OR helping someone (escourting a lost child home? :) [Having the character know his phone number and address would be a good moral for the younger players to see... yes, I am a parent. >=(]). Or perhaps the area has two counties and you can go back and forth to battle a gym in one county or the other (so there would be 16 gyms, but you would need to beat at least the last gym in a county before being able to progress to fight the elite 4) or both if you felt like it. Those are lame examples, but they show that you can still have options without making it over-whelming to young/new players and that you can follow the same general idea without making it overly strict/repetitive.I also read on a fan-made game/pokemon news site that when the pokemon are transferred they get released into a special park and you are given special park balls (not to be confused with the safari or safari balls) to capture them. The limit is 6 a day. It makes me wonder what happens if you fail to catch them at the park... are they gone forever or will they pop up again and again until caught? I suppose no one will know until it is released in Japan and people try it out.

Nope actually the starters are back to their traditional types: Grass/Fire/Water.There was a rumor some times ago about Psychic/Dark/FIghting starters but it's no more.

I am well aware. I am still laughing that apparently an assistant at Gamefreak started it all (whether as a joke or for publicity), if that is even true to begin with.

Oh that's better anyways. I liked that traditional style. It makes more sense then psychic/dark/fighting. I jus can't wait to have the game in my hands

Don't ask for release dates. Read the first post for the game release dates. As for the rom, it will be out at about the same times (more or less a few days)

I've been looking forward to playing these games since I heard of them! The graphics look excellent, and the battles look a little more "unique". It's also a nice interface with the 3D look and all.

well in my theory, since that we have 2 rivals this time around instead of one, the starters will gain a secondary type of fighting/psychic/dark when they evolve. i think the water penguin will be water/fighting type because its japanese name translate into rookie fighting bird. the fire monkey will be fire/psychic type because of an asia myth of the journey to the west, in the myth, a monk will journey to the west looking for the palace of budda and get some scrolls, on the way, the monk met a magical monkey who was borned from a 1000 years old stone therefore giving it 52 magical power.the grass turtle will be grass/dark type because thats would fit the description of fighting/psychic/dark.and things could be like that because it would give each starters a chance to counter its opposite type later in the game.fire > grass > water > firepsy < dark < fighting < psy

When do you think we'll finally get some screens or new info about Pearl? I hope they dont make it really dumb with the stylus...pokemon is meant to use the controller and i think there needs to be serious limit of use on the touch pad.

How could it be? Emerald was created way before they design Pearl/Diamond.
