Name: Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon PearlGenre: RPGRelease dates: Japan 09/28/2006, US 04/22/2007, EU unknownDevelopper: Game FreakCompany: Nintendo__________If you've been around to IGN or Gamespot in the last day or so you would have heard some new info about diamond and pearl. The official pokemon site has some screens. I'm disappointed to say, the graphics at first glance look only marginally better than the GBA games (which themselves were only marginally better than the GBC games). Theres a new 3Dish viewpoint which looks sort of neat, but from what i can see it still uses small crappy sprites on a system capable of far more, and most dissapponting, the battles, from what i can gather from the screens (this mightn't be 100% certain but it looks that way), look to have no pokemon animations. Now IF this is the case, which i am inclined to believe it is, this is very disappointing. If anyone thinks of the excuse of cart space, don't bother. N64 Pokemon games had full 3d pokemon animations, on less cart space than a DS game. Golden Sun, a launch GBA game, is looking like having better graphics than a DS game due in the third wave of big titles. All that being said, the game still sounds awesome and I will buy it, but I fail to see why Pokemon consistently lags behind the rest of the gaming universe in technology. I bet they still use the same crappy pokemon noises from pkmn red...

Are you kidding me? Pokemon Diamond and Pearl rocks!

Yes the ganes aren't bad. In my oppinion most of the pokemon games were good, it's only the anime that sucks....But I think it's kinda strange that this game needs two fat gamguids (at least in europe

No, I don't think so. Diamond and Pearl Pokemon's graphic have improved so much. It's more beautiful asd have more fun, because Gym leaders are so tough and it has much interesting interface.

Diamond and Pearl are a huge improvement since Red, Blue, and espiecially Green. The gaming is a lot more difficult, there are still puzzles and a well thought out storyline. Along with being able to capture 493 pokemon makes this game longlasting. Now that Wi-Fi has come a long, challenges are much more tough because there are so many people much better and you'll always find someone better.

It's still nice. If you want Pokemon to really hit your opponent's Pokemon and you have a Nintendo Wii with Pokemon Battle Revolution, you can uploading your Pokemon from Diamond and Pearl and fight off your friends in full 3D. Now is that nice? It makes Pokemon more a fighting game than a RPG when you're playing Pokemon Battle Revolution.

I have found myself playing this game multiple times against my will. It is so horridly addicting that I just can't say no to it. I love Pokemon, no matter what my age.

i've played all of the other pokemon games and the coolest things were getting your pokemon to high levels and filling up your pokedex. i loved it when the pokemon evolve it is cool. in pokemon sapphire and ruby it was the first game that i played where you could battle with more than one eney and battle with more pokemon. i cannot wait to get my hands on pokemon diamond because it looks JUST as cool as the rest.the best one was definetly pokemon yellow!if you level up your pokemon at the same rate then you have no problems like....i used to try to raise my pokemon one at a time but it didnt work im the kind NOW to be even with my pokemen evolution.
