I say Paper Mario is better because it has both adventure and comedy in it.

depends on what your looking for, Paper Mario is a delicious find for lovers of mario, rpgs, Turn based fighters, and great stories,depending on which zelda,OoT is beautiful for story, rpg, battles, etc, all around one of the greatest games Ive evers played,majoras mask i was not a fan of , due to the severe limitations of the 3 days systempaper mario is my fav though, just cause im a diehard mario fan, and it has great replayability, and collectibles

Both are excellent in different ways. If you like turn based strategy, go for paper mario. If you like games that requires quick thinking and problem solving, get zelda. (Not to say that you dont have any problem solving in paper mario)

they are both great games but zelda takes the cake here, because personally i love the story that zelda has(even though its basically the same game every time)and also the music in zelda is incredible i could listen to that music all day

Paper Mario has an incredibly unique art style, which I personally find far superior to Zelda's. Unfortunately, the game itself just isn't all that fun. I'd rather watch somebody play the game than play it myself. Overall, Zelda crushes Paper Mario.

I would have to say that Zelda is better in the view that you're talking about Ocarina of Time because it has a longer and tougher storyline.

Zelda because of the puzzle and the layered design and the interaction of everything about the game and because paper mario sucks because if u hate 2d or papaer game stay away...

I say paper mario because it has more comedy and twists to it than Zelda and Zelda is just to serious and corny sometimes.

This is one of the toughest decisions... EVER! ..I'm.. going to go with Paper Mario though, but because I dig the RPG feel to a Mario game, and it was just humorous at times, like how he never fell down, since Mario was paper, he'd float or drift down.

zelda has a sword which can cut paper, duuuuhboth good games but i would go for zeldamuch more too it i felt

Must you really make me choose? They are both fun, yet very different games. I guess I have to go with Zelda, everything about it was just perfect.

I love em both but i chose Paper Mario for the replayability (Is that a word? i dont think so) I mean you can beat that game while trying all kinds of combinations with your badges and to find all the secrets takes a loooot of effort. I loved the time i beat it without ever upgrading HP until i had to.

zelda OOT, no question... paper mario doesnt even compare to the story line and gameplay of OOT

Well it really is comparing apples to oranges. These games are just too different to match up.Zelda really is an action/adventure with an amazing story and characters. The game play and open air world are much more action oriented, with the only real RPG element being health increases.Paper Mario is a true RPG, with the only real limitation being only one true character. Otherwise, we have stat increases, a great story, and intriguing character development.On the topic at hand, It is a very tough call. I'll have to go with Zelda though, the action element is much more suited for the N64 graphics.

Paper Mario was my favorite game at the time, I played it a lot more than either of the Zelda games. Then again, I was also seven.

Zelda definitely. It's probablly in my top 5 favorite games the game style and story was epic. It wasn't too easy either, the first time played it most of the puzzles took me a few minutes to figure out. Also all the side quests and heart pieces made it interesting because it gave it more to do than just the story line.
