I think OoT was the game that got more focus and attention during development, and structurally speaking, I think it's the "better" game, but I had more long-lasting fun with Paper Mario. I didn't play either game until just a few years ago, so nostalgia never really factored in to how I viewed them.I still haven't finished Majora's Mask, so I can't comment on that.

Zelda is my ULTIMATE FAVORITE GAME IN THE ENTIRE GAMING WORLD but I still prefer Paper Mario because, One, I love RPGs and Two, it was such a fun and cute game.

I would have to go with zelda on this one. zelda is one of my all time favorite video games (all zeldas). its full of adventure and fighting and in most zeldas you are required to think a lot to accomplish some tasks. although i am a fun of all mario games, i was never really a fan of paper mario.

Legend of Zelda is much better then Paper Mario.Better storyline, characters and music.Paper Mario is also good, but I still prefer LoZ over it.

Is this even a trick question? Sure those two series have been consistently giving us good games, but Zelda easily outclasses Paper Mario in many ways.In story, Paper Mario has a story that keeps having Peach in a "damsel in distress" circumstances (maybe with the exception of the third one). Not that this is bad in anyway, and yes, I do enjoy Paper Mario games, but Zelda at least keeps things going, so to speak. Zelda also makes a lot of things epic, in my opinion, more than Paper Mario does.Zelda has more music that are better than Paper Mario's, but we don't usually play those games to mainly listen to music, so that's not much of an issue. But we still can't rule this out, since we can use it as one of the factors to compare these games.I don't feel like giving a book on this matter so you already get the idea of what I think.

I like paper mario much better. Mainly becuase its probally the funniest game i've ever played, Plus I liked the battle system more

I've only played Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask once each when I was younger; I never finished them because I thought they were "too diffiult and confusing." I'm looking forward to playing and finishing them some time in the future. I've recently finish playing Paper Mario and I really enjoyed it. I can't really make a preference just yet.

i totally agree with u on that one, but zelda, i think is always the same! paper mario has a little more variation DOMO IS A BEASTBoth games belong to different genres.If I want a dungeon mastering, item upgrading and major donkey kicking, I choose Zeldas.If I want to have a good time and laugh at a weird and cool thing to it , I choose paper mario.

I'd have to choose Legend of Zelda, because I like the characters and the setting and the plots much better. The puzzles in Legend of Zelda I find to be more challenging, and the plots are more interesting to me.

I was a diehard zelda fan forever.But less than a week ago i downloaded paper mario, now I waste hours a day getting into that.How did I never play a game this amazing?I mean the controls, the "random" way that you have to hit A to minimize/maximize damage.It's the type of RPG RPG's should look up, and it's in the mario universe.This game is a win.

As I've stated in about a million different topics already (X-D), my loyalties definitely lie with Paper Mario. Best N64 game ever! I got sucked way, WAY into the storyline!

Paper Mario is only better if you are crazy about rpg games which some people are not so in my opinion zelda is better.

Paper Mario saga game is a very great gema and the plot of every one is amazing but Zelda is Zelda a long time classic and the game the history and newcomings like Midna made the game very enjoyable

I honestly don't have a favorite of the two. Both of them are good in their own ways. Zelda is good in how it has really challenging puzzles that you have to solve to continue on in the game. Mario, on the other hand, is a classic and always has nice controlls for the game that always feel just right.

Honestly, I have always prefered the Paper Mario games. The main reason is that when I was small, Paper Mario didn't give me nightmares while the screaming redeads on Zelda did. As well, I always found the storylines in the Paper Mario games to be much better than the zelda ones since they offer sidequests to complete both during and after the main storyline of the game. Another great thing is that Paper Mario had all the variety of partners and abilities but Zelda, the only real partner you got was a horse named Epona.

i like zelda games the most because it uses swordplay along with more of a 3-D rpg free movement theme. you could explore the world and really do as you please... but in paper mario it was more 2-d and you had to follow a linear sort of storyline...plus in zelda you could go back to the story and just mess around riding your horse and shooting things with your bow/slingshot
