Probably that Chocobo summon you get in FF7 because that thing is just absolutely terrible even when you first get it at the beginning of the game.

You beat me to it, I was about to suggest that exact one. I can't remember what it was called, but it was a waste of MP, because it was so weak.

The worst I think is Chocobo for the evoker in Final Fantasy III for the DS. All it does is lets you flee. what if your in a boss battle unusuable.

In terms of practicality? Carbuncle. I mean, really, when the hell would you ever want to remove your option of casting Cure on yourself? Sure there's the occasional boss fight against a magic-using powerhouse where using Carbuncle may come out as part of the strategy to win, but that's usually one boss out of the fifty the game throws at you. So you'll probably use Carbuncle just that once. Never again.

i think the worst summon is ODIN.. its sad to tell this.. but at least for me. cuz i never use summons in normal battles... they consume to much MP..and the bad thing is that odin dont kill bosses with his slash =/

carbuncle was only useful for a few battles, but other than that it was a useless summon. in ffvii odin did damage...it wasnt until ffviii where he had different blades to attack which barely did any damage.
