Carbuncle is the most useless summon from any FF. I have never used it for support.

cerberus in ff8 didn't really do anything...carbuncle was only useful when dealing with someone who uses magic alot...

how many can say that most of the ff summons were useful, dere were loads of pointless summons, ff 10 had the most use of their summons tho, carbuncle wasa kinda cute so i wnt say anyfin bad bout it, i wud say pandemona (typhoon isnt far off tho lol), pandemona was jus a giant vacuum

Remora hands down!, it is the worst summon ever! even worse than Sylph! i also think Chocobo is useless in almost every ff it appears.

yep, yojimbo really takes the prize for being the worst summon. there is this relationship you have to make with him to actually have him do decent damages. i tried looking on gamefaqs but in the end, i took an aspirin and the computer had a crack in it where i threw something

Siren, FF8, in my opinion silence wasn't super important, and it didn't pack enough of a wallop compared to any other GF (Yes, even Carnbuncle, and he can't do any damage >.>) It was visually okay, but it was easy to miss and I never used it for junctions too much.

i think the worse would be odin cause healways takes a very long time to come out 2nd worse summon was yojimbo cause you have to give a large amount to use the zamato

Carbuncle almost nabs the crap award, but it gets redeemed in FFVIII, the only game where I ever found a use for it.Chocobo from FFVIII wins hands down IMO. It sucked, you needed to have Gyashal Greens to use it, and you needed a PocketStation to power it up, unless you used a cheat device. In fact, Chocobo summons in all FF games suck.

Agreeing with Kuromori here, Chocobo was just not worth the hassle to use it. It outright sucked. Carbuncle Vs anything Melee and Remora. GUH! Don't get me started...
