Final Fantasy X is better by about 30 miles.I beat FF X-2 in a day and it completely ruined the storyline for me.FFX storyline was so deep and so amazing and has one of the best storylines ever made hands down, IMO.FF X-2 was ok I guess, but I loved FFX

It all comes down to opinion.FFX was pretty good, but irksome in the fact that it's overly linear in most places that seemed like it would be cool to explore more of. Plus, there's fact that you can miss some rather LARGE advantages if you don't have a fricking strategy guide glued to you. But it was nice being able to give anyone any skill. Just the very idea of getting Ultima for all of your teammates it super-sweet, even if they wouldn't be all that useful with it. Probably the only thing that irritated me the most was how things eventually came together in the story. Just didn't sit right with me.I didn't mind the faster-paced battles for FFX-2, but the entire game irked me overall because of the very thing that made it rather impressive: the dress spheres. It was quite irritating to find a decent place to level up each of the spheres and even more annoying was the fact that many required you to be enter story paths which may or may not block you from areas that were good experience. Plus, many dress spheres don't end up being all that useful, so their inclusion seems more for getting the girls a new outfit than providing an actually valuable ability. And it just seemed kinda lame that you couldn't have all three girls in their ultimate outfits at the same time.

FFX story was nonsense. They totally screwed it up. You fight Seymour almost the entire way through, then the final boss is some wimpy little EGG MONSTER which has like nothing almost to do with the story. FFX is completely and utterly disappointing (at least to me.) The only characters I like were Auron, Lulu and Kimahri (and Anima if you count her.) The story sucked, the combat was a let down, and the ending was the biggest turd ever. FFX-2, on the other hand, at least has a decent gameplay system. Story or not, it's fun to fight the battles. That is enough to push FFX-2 over FFX imo.

FFX is better than FFX-2. FFX-2's story is too short but the fighting scene is kinda cool

I like ff10 better than it's sequel, the ladies changeable customes are nice but the intensity of battle is much more extreme in ffX.

Final Fantasy X-2 seemed like it was started on a tongue-in-cheek sort of premise and they added a bunch of drama. The story, as a result, fell apart quickly. I know they needed to add a variety of stuff to fluff up the playtime, but it actually made the story flimsier. For the most part, I enjoyed it, but the game irritated the hell out of me with the lack of control I actually had concerning each girl. I mean, if I want a white mage to fight, I should be able to make her fight, dammit! But overall, I did like the gameplay more.Final Fantasy X was better story-wise. I didn't like the 'AP' mechanics at all and the equipment stuff seemed hazy at best, but the addictive story kept me coming back.

FFX has a WAY better story and leveling is really fun. I love the customization. FFX-2 has a fun job system, but I hate how you can miss DSP and GGs in it. I also wish the leveling was the same as in X, but it's still pretty fun. I like X better overall.

i prefered ffx over ffx-2 because they got rid of the timebar, making the battles feel faster. ffx-2 doesn't even feel like a continuation or a side story. it feels like a completely independent spin-off, which it arguably is. i did however like ffx-2 because of all of that fan service, though i guess in the end, of the three i only like rikku...

i thought FFX was better because the FF games are usually based upon the plot and how beautiful it looks =) both FFX and FFX-2 have good cgs in it, but FFX-2 lacks a lot of the in depth plot mostly because it was the first sequel in any of the FF series

Final Fantasy X-2 is a great game mainly due to the unique and fun way of battling but Final Fantasy X is great all round but mostly it has a great storyline which makes you want to get further and further in the game so as to learn more and more a truly great game in my opinion.

ffx is the best of the two because Auron was in it, and the graphics were awesome. Though if it did not have Auron I'd probably say ffx-2

I perfer FFX because to me it seemed to have more of a storyline and i was impressed that they got through the whole game without saying tidus's name even once :) Also, i had high expectations for X-2 when square declaired their first direct sequel of the game.

X. X-2 just came off as lazy to me, with them just recycling the old enemy sprites and locations. That's just an opinion, of course, but I want each FF experience to be new, even if it was a sequel.

Though the blitz-ball gameplay was toned down a LOT, you still can't beat some of the finest women Square had to offer. The Outfit system was pretty cool and the LaBlanc cutsce ens were pretty amusing.:P
