Storywise I'd definitely go with FFX but I really liked FFX-2 battle system Still, if you haven't played any of them and looking for one to pick the choice is obvious...

I think that XX-2 was a joke, most everything about it made fun of itself and was generally light-hearted. I mean, come on, a costume system, who changes their clothes during a battle?!FFX was fun though and I think that it had much more thought behind it.

Final Fantasy X is soo much better then X-2, in X there is a lot mroe story, a lot better as far as leveling up. X-2 was just a tiny game built on X because X was soo popular.

blitzball was so much better in x and the coin game wasn't all that challenging. it was more of a game of chance on what the base multiplier was. the story in x was much better, but x-2 made it easier to get cash at the end of the game, which is important. i still go with x.

FFX is the better game even though FFX-2 has its high points the multiple storylines in FFx made it so much better than the solo story in FFX-2

i like x2 more cause of how you can customise the characters or go to any map u want. but i like x cause of the way you lvl up characters.

the sequel is fanservice if anything. the first one was good enough, and no other ff had a sequel. i think square enix just wanted more profit for relatively less work.

Do you even have to ask? FFX, of course. The only reason you'd play FFX-2 is for female characters in skimpy outfits; eye candy, basically.

I HAVE FFX2 and the game is very good i am brazilian but i now speak english not much but i now the graphics is very good the story the atacks the game is very good i recomend you to buy ffx2 the game is very large and very good have very much side quests amd you level up you characters customize (bassicaly) and its it. i an new in the forumcan u guy tell me which one is better.....because I can't tell.... To me, both is good... I like the color and they graphic....is so good when u have high quality color.....hehehhe

i reckon ffx is better. i mean, think about it. SquareSoft made Final Fantasy X which had a great storyline and gameplay elements. Then Square Enix goes and turns Yuna into a slut!!

FFX-2 was a joke compared to FFX. The story line in FFX2 was WEAK. I sometimes felt like you had to be 10 yrs old to enjoy that game. Plus, lets be honest, coaching Blitzball was pretty lame. I thought Blitzball was really fun and worthwhile in FFX. It didn't really do anything for you in FFX2, and it was really boring. Sphere Break was also lame. Basically, there were zero good side quests/mini games.

I prefer FFX. I liked the story more and X-2 just seemed to bore me from the start.

Depends on what you classify as better. FFX has the better plot. It's more serious, and the gameplay is something of a dream. The multiple character system works well for those who want their own sense of originality. They're free to design their own teams the way they want to, basically. The standard for learning skills is tedious, though, and that can cause a person to not like it.X-2 is not as serious. The plot is mainly about finding Tidus (or someone who looks like Tidus). Yes, there is a great threat to all of Spira, but its basically a search for Yuna's lost love. The battle system can get boring, and the class systems translate directly to a dress up game with three girls to chose from. Fun, but maybe a little bit sketchy. But there's a sense of freedom in X-2 that isn't found in FFX. There is a plot line that requires following, but for the most part you're free to chose your own path with the different areas.So which one is better? I personally prefer X-2 for its freedoms. It's not as serious as FFX, and its a good game to play when you want to sit down for an RPG without getting bogged by a serious plotline.
