FF-X for the story, FFX-2 for gameplay. FFX-2 has a faster and more fun battle system because of the active time bar. FF-X has a very deep emotional storyline but at the same time quite dark and depressing.

FFX-2 was made solely for profit purposes since it bears absolutely no signs of the true soul of the series.

I agree with this statement. FFX is better cuz of blitzball. I hope they put a game like it infuture FF'sffx is better.. blitzball is more fun in ffx then ffx2.. playing blitzball rules w00t!!

FFX-2 IMO was stupid, the purpose of that game was basically for perverted fan boys. Yuna's character from FFX to FFX-2 was an obvious transformation; she became ditsy and stupid. However, you still get sucked into FFX-2 once you get far enough. Those were my 2 cents.

Yuna was actually always pretty stupid. Tidus had to teach her to whistle. I know what you mean though. She seemed younger, and more like a valley girl in X-2. Also, I think what you mean by getting "sucked into FFX-2" is, you want to get the game over with. Even the music in that game got irritating after a while. Especially on the airship. The only good thing about the whole game was the RT Battles, and if I wanted to play something like that, I'll bust out FF7. Bottom line is, you're not going to find anything new with FFX-2. It's lame. I'm pretty convinced all the people saying FFX-2 is better, haven't even played FFX, or any of the other FFs. FFX was better because all of the characters could learn everything, and levelling up was more interesting and the aeons were great. The storyline was much better aswell.FFX-2 was good, but would have been better if Yuna could still summon and Rikku could still steal.

I think FFX is better than FFX-2 because the story was so bad for FFX-2 I nearly threw the cd at a wall. FFX has a good story, it has Blitzball and it has pretty hard bosses so I consider it better.

Are you talking about the Dress Spheres? That was one of my least favorite things about the whole game.I gota say FFx, the story is better and the game is kinda longer. but i do liek the job system in ffx-2

goign for FFX cause it's just better... i don't really like the chapters and that there aren't any summons on FFX-2 only thing that makes it up for the game is when yuna = singer, pain = black mage and Rikku = samurai >.>

FFX-2 was the worst game ever, three girls which you CAN'T change in the entire game! Who do they think they are making me sit through that! The best thing in the game Aons are now your enemy.... why!?!?!?!

X-2 was enjoyable, and a bit fluffy but not bad by any means. X, however, was magnificent and superior all around to X-2.

I like FFX better because with lots of training and patience you can eventually hit 99,999 with your ultimate weapons.

Well although I didnt beat ffX because my playstation broke when I reached sin, but still i must say that ffX has a way better storyline then ffX-2. And plus the game was so much longer.can u guy tell me which one is better.....because I can't tell.... To me, both is good... I like the color and they graphic....is so good when u have high quality color.....hehehhe

I'd say FFX since the story line set up FFX-2. Also the FFX doesnt just base off of some girl's want to find Tidus.
